Hi all 👋🏻
For my next post in our lovely community this Friday for the #MarketFriday by @dswigle - Denise. I will take you along to a local garden centre in sunny southern Spain 🇪🇸 ☀️
‼️If you want to know more about #MarketFriday’s have a look At this post about it: Market Friday goes House Hunting! from @dswigle you find also the rules what to post.
I visited this garden centre not that long ago on 28 May 2022. All photographs are taken with my iPhone.
I needed to get a mint plant 🪴 for it’s leaves to use in salads, sauces and let’s not forget to make mojitos 🍹 as I’m a rum kind of girl 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻😎 hahaha
As we enter we see the large building and all the goodies it houses. 🥰 This is like a candy store for me 😁😋😉 So I need to restrain myself and don’t buy it all hahaha 😜
Long rows with accessories like plant pots.
Everywhere around us.
I shall take closer looks at interesting finds for you, like this terrarium for plants.
You put soil in there, certain plants and close it up after some water… it does create it’s own ecosystem and can get pretty old like that.
This candle caught my eye… not because I thought oh what pretty, but look at that price 😳 €314,50 euros… nope wouldn’t buy a candle for the garden in that amount. 🤓
Further we find cute insect houses. They look pretty decent.
But for €21,50 euros… I make them myself. More fun anyways 😁 I like to work with wood and create furniture and things like this.
Next I find these cute bird houses.
Yes, I could buy some… just not now. They ranged around €29,95 euros
A large vase… more an ornament and decoration. It towered high above me out… ok Ok… I know, I’m not that tall hahaha so that’s easy. I’m 1.62m 🤓😎
Next I arrive at the orchid section… they are so beautiful.
Small intricate orchids…
And much bigger ones…
This Phalaenopsis Mixtos was €27,50 euros
This one was €19,50 euros… most orchids ranged around these 2 prices.
More orchids.
As we walk further we see a water fountain in this garden centre.
Little detail 😁🦁🦁🦁🦁
Look Denise: we were talking about lavender the other day.
The price for dried lavender around here: €45,80 euros, that’s about $48,03 dollars 💵 and this wasn’t a big bouquet either.
More dried wheat/ flowers, for €16,95 euros, they also come in coloured versions 🌈
We reach now another accessory section with candles.
Silk flowers… fake flowers section.
Cute cactus accessories…
Some artworks in metal and glass and ceramic.
Look at that happy face 😁
Little baskets paper woven for small plant pots or other things. From €26,- euros onwards. 14x7 and 17x8 cm set of 2.
Little sculptures 🥰
€28,95 euros
A placemat for €7,75 euros. Looks sturdy…
Now we reach the next covered hall. With fresh flowers for inside.
The colours jump right at you.
These Catharanthus roseus cost €5,50 euros.
We see a lot of hibiscus 🌺 cost €6,95 euros at the moment.
These Campanula Percifolia takion cost €4,95 euros
Next an area with cactus 🌵
They come in all price ranges from €1,- to the biggest ones over € hundreds of euros.
This next one is €5,95 euros 12 cm pot.
Also herbs we find now… sage for €1,- euro small pot.
We are in the area I need to be… for the mint plant 🪴
I find these butternut plants for €2,50 euros
Yay found a mint plant 🪴 I choose one and set it aside for pick up later on my way out 😉😎💃🏻
€4,95 euros will this one cost.
Next I walk to the outside area where we find plants for the garden.
I see this thyme for €4,75 euros
These Ageratum houstonianum plants go for €3,50 euros. Beautiful colours… love purple 💜💜💜
A wider view around for you.
We see small flowers and large trees. Fruit trees too if you look closely, do you spot the lemons 🍋
Palm trees and olive trees and everything in between 🌴🌳🪴
Beautiful grasses that maintain their colour in the garden. Love these…
More beautiful flowers in all kind of different colours and shades.
Here we see these Gazanias for €8,95 euros
Look what I found now 🥰🪴
Flowers that do attract insects, like butterflies 🦋
And this bee 🐝 plant 🐝🥰
Love to help our little helpers 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 as I love BEES. They are soooo important for our survival.
When I get a garden again, I will help them with all kinds of yummy plants 🪴 🌺🐝🦋🌸🌼🌻
Next we see these Bracteantha bracteata plants for €12,95 euros
Hanging plants are also found out here.
Like these Fuchia plants for around €13,50 euros
Even in different colours.
Now on my way out to the checkout.
I pass these inside plants.
And these Hydrangea for €14,95
Ooooo it is so hard not to walk out with much much more… but with our move this year. I can’t take plants, so it is better not to buy more… 😁😎 I already need to sell and give away the ones I already have.
The bill:
One mint plant 🪴 for €4,95 euros 🤓🪴
And that’s all for today’s #MarketFriday post. Until the next one! 👋🏻😎 are you joining me again soon? 😉💃🏻
Hope you enjoyed wandering with me through this garden centre.
Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.
Have a great Friday all 😎

I love the dried flowers, especially the dried leaves. So aesthetic. I can't seem to find one in our place. Great marketplace by the way.
Thank you so much @erikasue 😁 that’s a shame you can’t find them at yours.
I like dried flowers around the house.
Have a wonderful weekend 👋🏻☀️
I enjoyed going to the garden with you, lovely super photos.
I really laughed hard to this, the cost of an item always determines the purchase of it.
Thank you so much @jmis101 😁 for coming along, much appreciated!
Hahaha crazy right? But yes, that’s exactly how it is.
Have a wonderful Saturday 👋🏻☀️
ohhhhhhhhh you know what??? hehehe I took a lot of pictures for my garden center trip too - but I was going to make it for Wednesday Walk next week! hahahahaha
so I see some similar plants and things in yours! hehehe but don't worry - mine won't be the same, hehehe I have a few different things to show so that I won't copy all of yours! hahahahaha
but wow - look at all those orchids!
I've never see those purple kind before - they're like... pointy orchids!!! hehehe
so different and unusual!
That massive candle was really beautiful - but my gosh! so expensive hahahaha
I wonder what it would look like if it was all lit up! hehehehe
and how long it would last???
this was so so fun to walk aroudn with you and see so many beautiful things - and I hope your mint plant grows nicely!!!!
Aaawwww that’s funny @dreemsteem you went to a garden centre too hahaha 🤣 luckily I didn’t post it Wednesday as I was thinking first where should I post it. But I decided it was here today. 🤩
And so many the same plants, that’s funny. I will for sure have a look out for your post Wednesday 😎
Yes, the orchids are stunning here, they always have such a variety of different kinds. It’s beautiful to see.
I know right… the candle is pretty cool but for that price… nope hahaha I think it would last pretty long but if you look at the wicks, they are big, so I guess a big flame too. So it could go faster too. Who knows, I for sure not buying it.
Thanks so much for joining me on this walk through the garden centre.
Yep, it’s growing pretty well and my mojitos tasking amazing hahaha 🍹🍹🍹
Have a wonderful evening and great weekend 👋🏻😁☀️💃🏻
yes hehe with giant wicks they will burn just as fast as small candles LOLOLOL
mmmm mojitos!
now you need to do a recipe post showing how you make your mojitos hahahahaha
They do… hahaha especially with giant wicks lol 😂
You know I wanted to include that too in this post, like why I needed the mind and what I use it for.
But than… it was just midday 🕛 hahaha 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I couldn’t make one that early 😇😜
So I didn’t…
Maybe I could make a post with it. I do follow the general recipe though.
Who knows.
Have a great Saturday @dreemsteem 👋🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻☀️
Damn nice spot. It's a place where I could go out with no money... Lol. I would buy nearly everything there. 😅🤗 Have an beautiful day, my cool Lara littlebee croft. 💯👌🏼💃
Aawww you’re so sweet @akida 🤗🥰
I’m soooo the same, hubby needs to drag me through the aisles hahaha my Indy hahaha 🤣
But we can’t take plants with our move, as they won’t survive a container on a ship 🛳
But one day… watch this space… new flowers and plants to come 🪴🪴🌴🌴🌵🌵🌸🌺🌻🌼💜☀️
Yay!
Thank you so much, and you too… have a wonderful day and great start of the weekend 😁👋🏻💃🏻☀️

Thanks so much @akida 🤗🤗🤗🥰
One day soon… not right now hahaha 🤣
Wow there are so many items in there! 😮 what a huge candle! 😮 this is a large number of kilograms of wax must be there! Oh no!!!! The mint plant looks great! we had a fuchsia with purple flowers - very beautiful! I'm amazed you were able to get out of there with just what you planned to buy!!! there are too many temptations to buy more 😜😀👍
Thanks so much for your visit @tali72 😁👋🏻
Yes, that candle… crazy large.
The fuchsias are just beautiful. Love purple.
I soooo had to listen to my head and not my… mother plant voice… “Jackie buy me I want to come home with you” hahaha
But I know with the big move, I can’t take them and it is painful to give them away. So I just got the mint.
Normally I would come out with the car full hahaha 🤣 I will on the other side after the move, you wait and see hahaha 😉😉😁😁🤣🤣💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻🪴🪴🪴🌺🌸🌼🌻🌹🌷🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌴🌴🌴
🤣🤣🤣👍 I wish you a successful move! we moved frequently. it always takes a lot of effort
I so know… hahaha stopped counting after 30 moves… it will be country no. 6 😉 don’t remember staying somewhere more than 1 year for the last 8 years. Lol
Thank you so much 😊 much appreciated!
Wow!!! You are probably already a specialist in the ability to adapt to new circumstances! it's not easy. I did not count how many times we moved from city to city or from apartment to apartment. but we only have 2 countries. I decided to count how many times my husband and I moved: I got 12 cities and 19 apartments, if I didn’t forget something. and we, too, in most cases lived there for only 1 year. when you are young it is not so difficult, but now it is more difficult for me. we have it connected with the work of my husband. why do you have to move so much: do you like new impressions or is it also a necessity? 😀
I am… @tali72 😁 hahaha I can adjust easily by now 😉
When younger and living with my parents it was their work. 3 countries are covered in that.
When I moved out of their home age 16… it was my school and later work related. After my divorce it was my long time dream to move to Spain. So I did alone in 2015. After that it was choice…
Than I met my now hubby… and we are moving around for his work. Even being relocated from Spain to Malta. After a year we moved back out of choice hahaha moving around a bit in Spain again work related.
And soon being relocated to country nr. 6 is work again.
So for me it is a combination. Choice, necessity (some times rentals where falling apart after moving in, like roof collapse etc.) and work mostly.
Shortest we stayed anywhere was about 1,5 month… I think my moves are closer to 50 by now.
Hubbies isn’t that much as mine though and just 3 countries.
My moves where never close to each other. Always far far away. So new areas all the time.
I do notice now we are getting older… (mid 40s) we do want to settle down. Truly settle down. So we hope one rental to come and search “our spot” and than buy our first home and stay… would love a garden 🪴 😁😊 and get many many plants hahaha 😜
yes, you are a great traveler! 😀 but you have a lot of different things to inspire as an artist: beautiful places, parks, landscapes, etc. I hope your movements do not interfere with your drawing. I am amazed at how you carry plants with you !!! 😮 I used to grow violets. they bloomed beautifully for me. but they could not survive the move - it was so pitiful that these flowers all withered 😭 for some time we still carried other plants with us when moving, not as delicate as violets, but then we gave them to friends. and now we only buy annuals. having your own garden is great! it just takes a lot of strength to take care of it
iheart candles. My favorite kind are the kind that smell the way they claim unlike imposter candles who claim to smell like something specific when at best they're a burnt wick.
Hello. =}
Hello @dandays 👋🏻😁 how are you?
Yes… me too. I love scented candles and incense sticks.
I found some candles that do keep their smell. The wood wick ones… from Yankee Candle, they last also forever and are worth the extra money. It even sounds like a fire place. 😉
I almost finished the “Sun ripened berries” one now. It was a blend of 3 scents. 609.5 g
Just love them.
In incense I love white sage and palo santo and all woody ones. Like sanded wood 🥰😁
What are your favourites?
You like those? Funny. I'm not a fan of the wood wicks, I don't like that crackling sound they make, remind me of a bug zapper. Bzz!
Well, since you asked, I'll put this candle up against any candle, any day! Best smelling candle ever is all (if that counts), my all time favorite. I always have about 10 candles on deck, Pura's always like really?! You got 'another' candle?
How do those silk flowers do in direct sunlight and can you leave them alone for weeks at a time without water?
We just got back from Budapest, on the train as i write this actually, check out this market—largest in the country they say:
Yep I do… but only that smell 🥰 not the other smells they have as they smell like cleaning liquids hahaha not my thing.
I like the crackling as it is like having a fire place on… but maybe it is the size of the one we have. It’s rather large hahaha
Will have a look into your candle, don’t know that brand. Sounds truly interesting.
Yep, I don’t blame her if she likes it 🥰😎
The silk flowers don’t stand the sun… the fade toooo quickly. But… they can survive weeks without water hahaha lol 😂
Wow that looks pretty awesome @dandays 🥰😎 the size of that place… very cool.
Love the construction and all the details in the roof. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
noooooooooooo say hello to meeeeeee toooooooooo LOLOLOL
Well this is weird, how embarrassing. I did say hello or at least meant to but I'm either rusty and have forgotten how to click send or maybe I was dreeeeming the whole thing and woke up before the best part again!
Hello dear friend @littlebee4 good day
What a beautiful place you have found, I love the dimension of the place and the variety of products they sell, I really liked that bird basket and the round glass terrarium
Good thing you have hands to create your own insect furniture, it would be nice to see some when you do
It is good that you have acquired the mint plant, it tastes very good in the mojitos 4.95 seems to be a reasonable price
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid weekend
Hello @jlufer my friend, a good day to you too 👋🏻😁
Thank you so much, I love this place as it is so large and has such a vast variety on plants and flowers.
My favourites too that day, the birdhouse and terrarium.
I will keep it in mind, when I build something out of wood I share it.
I did post a little while ago 2 furniture pieces I build from pallet would I found. A coffee and dining table. If you want the links, just ask me. I give them 😉 we still use them to date.
It sure does need to go in mojitos 😉🥰 hahaha
Thank you so much for your well wishes and warm words. I wish you too a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy it 👋🏻☀️🦋
It will not be necessary, visit your blog and you can appreciate both works, you have done a good job with those reclaimed wood
I liked that you added those cast wheels to the excellent piece of furniture
You are very good at creating furniture
enjoy the rest of the day
Thank you so much @jlufer 😁 much appreciated!
Yes, the coffee table with the cast iron wheels is my favourite from the tables. 🥰
It has been a tv stand, and a salon table… it is multifunctional so to say.
Should build more again. But after our move, as the new place will need for sure some TLC, I will refurbish it and build more. Maybe even a kitchen, who knows.
You too, have a wonderful day further 👋🏻☀️
Wow, amazing. I'd want to buy everything. But of course, I would think: "i can make it myself for cheaper" - just like you haha.
I saw a birdbath meme that was made out of corks and it said: 'Drink wine and save a bird' which really made me laugh.
Mint and mojitos is the best!
Yay you think the same as me hehehe 🤭 that’s great. Yep, being creative, making it ourselves is so rewarding too, and fun, and cheaper.
Hahaha that’s funny indeed… yep drink more wine 🍷
I just love mojitos 😁💃🏻
Have a wonderful Tuesday @riverflows 👋🏻☀️
Is that heaven? :D Just look at all those flowers and plants. Not only that but the other stuff as well like the ceramics and metal arts. Good thing you were able to restrain yourself from buying a lot :D
Thanks so much @leeart 😊 it is like heaven 🌺🌸🌼🌻🌹🌷🪴🌱🌿🌴 surrounded by so much beauty…
It was hard hahaha 😜 believe me 🤓🤣😂
Happy Sunday 👋🏻☀️
I can relate. Food is my weakness so when I went to check the Sunday market, I have to avoid the food stalls lol!
Luckily I’m not alone in this hahaha 😁😉🤩
Have a great new week @leeart 👋🏻☀️
Lol!
Have a good one too :)
Thank you kindly 😁👋🏻
All these wooden houses look nice, but they cost too much... I think it's nicer to make such items yourself. Especially since you'll know for sure that you worked with real wood, not imitation. But what a gorgeous garden - and palm trees, and flowers, and herbs! What a wonderful place!
It was so nice to walk around there, so many plants and flowers. I could spend hours looking at it all as it is rather big this garden centre.
Exactly… making it yourself has so many benefits. It’s fun, done with real wood and probably lasts longer.
Thank you so much for joining me on this walk around through the flowers and plants 🌼🌺🪴
Have a great Friday 👋🏻☀️

Thank you so much @itsostylish 😁👋🏻💃🏻💃🏻🌼🌺🌸
Interesting to visit, many kinds of flowers and many handcrafts for sale. All beautiful and of course offordable prices. Thank you, greetings
You are welcome @hsidik
Thanks for coming along on my walk through the flowers, it was a great little trip to the garden centre, luckily I didn’t buy to many plants hahaha 🤣
Greetings to you! Enjoy your weekend.
I always found the garden centres so expensive, and would always ask around and someone would know someone who would get me things for far less than the garden centres charged.
It does look a wonderful place to walk around though!
I feel for your move Jackie, as yes one of the hardest things is letting go of your plants!
Have a fantastic Friday.
Wow, I didn’t follow you yet… no idea why Ed haha
Yes, they are expensive and this one topped them all, but it was close by and I just needed one thing. Luckily I did stick to my plan, just buying one thing 😎🤣
I live to short in this area to know my way around. I just moved to much in the last 6 years. It has been over 8 moves and not close by moves every time. From one end of andalucia to the other and everything in between hahaha normally I would buy on markets or at farmers themselves. But you won’t find that here either, too Touristy, but the only place that was empty and available within 4 days to move too. When things got crazy… lol
Yes, that’s the hardest part… plants are like my babies, I even talk to them. Even took a baby monstera from my old monsters on the plane moving to Malta and back again hahaha
This won’t work this time as back then it was soooo small and just had 3 leaves 🌱 can you imagine.
