I never knew my father and he never contributed towards our upbringing, only to find out that he re-married and that they had 5 sons. My mom only remarried after all of us were out of the house and my gran had died. A few years after she re-married, she was killed in a car accident.
Such is life.

The eldest one of my lot came to visit me once after my father's funeral in 1982, and that was it. Never saw or had contact with any of them again.
