Market Friday back in Marion

This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.

For this weeks post, I am sharing a few more shots in Downtown Marion, I was debating with myself whether to share more shots from the Carnival/Fair, but since I shared some from there last week decided to mix it up and slip a second post on Marion in today.
Looking down the street, just a few shops in this spot, but seems to be the town Centre and quite charming

The Main reason I drive the half hour or so to Marion is to head to Silvershell beach for sunrise, its a nice spot and a couple of times on the way back I have stopped off to get some shots of the shops here
Marion is a fairly small town with a population of 5,347 at the 2020 census. I was curious how much properties cost there and found out the following

There are 46 homes for sale in Marion, Plymouth County with a median price of $640000
The average Marion house price was $810K last month

I love the style of the buildings and the feel of this little area

Now some may remember in my previous post on Marion the interesting circle of light on the side of the post office building the buildings/shops I am showing in this post are on the other side of the road and I do not see anything that could be reflecting the sun to make that shape, but thinking about it now, there was a church with a windvane on top of it, I wonder if it was the sun reflecting off it, and also wondering why I didn't take a shot of it

It looks like a really nice place. Spacious and peaceful...

One can really sense the atmosphere by looking at your photos.

Thank you for sharing these photos with us.

It is a small town and one I want to go back and check out when the shops are open but I do get the feel it is peaceful and quiet there

I can imagine it would be interesting to be there when the shops are open. Maybe that can provide you with another post...

Would be something different for me a market Friday post when the market is open lol

Sounds great😀👍!

You have left me intrigued with the image of the church, I want it! The place looks extremely calm and peaceful. I liked it very much 😇

I am so annoyed I did nit get a photo of the church I will head back there and get photos of it sometime soon from what I remember it was surrounded by trees and hard to get good photos of

I look forward to thank you for your content. ❤️

Circular reflection in previous post, church window makes sense if round, most unusual for you not to have photographed, we all forget to check when out having fun!

Lovely town, prices pretty steep to say the least, considering our poor currency is sitting above 16 to 1 USD, would have to have a large wallet 😂

Happy Friday with !LUV

Yes indeed a round window on the church would make sense and I think the reason I didn’t get photos of the church was if I remember rightly from the side I was on there was trees all around it making good photos challenging
I had forgot I wanted to go back there till I prepared this post I will head back there soon

Lovely clean town full of character, well worth another visit although the mystery reflection may remain just that....

I think so as well
And yes that light may remain a mystery unless I happen to be there at just the right time

Mystery lighting maybe keep it that way, something special on the day!

Yea indeed if I found out what it was it may spoil the mystery lol

It truly is a buyers' market, isn't it? The prices did dip this year most places, but, all they have changed the wording on the market crash for housing. I know that means nothing, but, it sounds a little more optimistic to me.

I really loved this #MaretFriday and thinking outside the box today! Thank you! It was really good to take one town in particular instead of waving the magic wand over the genralization of our country.

The town of Marion is exactly what I think of when I am looking for a small town feel where it is comfortable and still holds the value of the America that I love. Pride in ownership with the well kept real estate too. Thanks for bringing us back to the reflective spot! I had been wondering what the heck that was! Thank you again for always sharing a piece of your #MarketFriday with us! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

They sure lucked out. They probably changed the zoning!
