Hi Hive!
I am a noob here on Hive and hence this is my first ever upload to #marketfriday
So let me introduce you to Borough Market in London. It is quieter than it used to be before the current situation going on but still colourful and definitely worth an investigate.
This amazing raw wood mortar and pestle totally caught my eye! Wood is so beautiful when sculpted with such care!
Now I love chilli 🌶 so this balsamic vinegar was tempting but I am window shopping mostly today so I vow to buy some one day!
Being a vegetarian it’s always extra good to see chemical free veg for sale .
I had to treat myself to a couple of baby plants in passing this stall.
So there it is. A quiet but attractive market here in London. Many of it’s stalls were closed sadly but I focused my camera on what was there , rather than what wasn’t and I hope it can come fully back to life in the coming weeks and months. These are truly challenging times for businesses everywhere!
I hope you enjoyed exploring this market with me,
Until the next time , best wishes from @the-busy-bee
An interesting publication with high-quality photos. I was interested to see what kind of market in London. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for stopping by. There are a lot of markets in London and I hope to show off a few of them!
You have a great post. Thanks you
Great assortment of photos. Those redcurrants look like they came from Costa Rica with the Puravida words and the hummingbird!!
I never saw a pinky purple Calla Lily before , I only know of white ones so interesting to see those.
Great market Friday thanks
Thats very nice of you to say so, I appreciate it. It’s the first time I have seen coloured Calla Lily too
Having visited London on a couple of occasions (from South Africa), places I did enjoy were the markets around the city.
Sadly business has taken a knock during recent events, hopefully soon people will find their feet and be able to earn once again.
Raw wood mortar and pestle is eye catching, lovely photography throughout giving a glimpse through the lens of what is on offer.

🎁 Hi @the-busy-bee! You have received 0.1 HBD tip from @joanstewart!The raw wood pestle and mortar are awesome! I love wood, but, when it is done with such care to combine the beauty and the practicality of it, it is a home run in my book. I could run my hand up and down it, feeling the grain.
I love chilis too and love to mix it up, trying out different ones. Your chemical-free veggies stand is so nice and tidy! Plus they look so yummy! Especially nice if you are a vegetarian, but even if you are not, that would be really appreciated! I love the huge plant section they have and I have a love for the green and pink leaves. I planted them this year, with bright Fuschia new guinea impatiens under them (In a pot) and they are gorgeous looking!
The grapes and the strawberries are in peak season, aren't they?? Gosh, they are amazing looking! I agree that these are trying times and the smaller markets here are really taking a beating. So many stores have closed and I am so sad that it has come to this. I pray every day that we can get back to a normal state, for every person on earth. It has been a hardship for so many. I cannot tell you how wonderful this post was!!! Thank you so much for taking part in #MarketFriday! I am so pleased to see you here and I will admit that it is fun to go through these posts and have so many different cultural experiences. The amount of time and effort put into posting in this challenge is not a secret. One of the reasons I have so much appreciation for those that do.
There have been some really interesting ways that #MarketFriday has been presented, all of which adds all the more charm to the mixing bowl. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!
