Hello Mareket Friday Lovers, this is my first post in the market friday community, greetings from me.
For the past five years, in my area, North Sumatra province, Indonesia, there has been a weekly traditional market. the sellers in this market change places every day.For example, on Monday the market will be in the area of km 19, on Tuesday the market will move to 9 Clove Turi, Thursday near the toll gate, Saturday in Peace Village (other days I don't know where this traditional market is).
This traditional market is located on a fairly large area of land or resident land as a place for traders to put their wares. the traders pay a certain amount of money to rent a stall / place of wares. the market starts at 4pm to 9pm.
The goods sold in this weekly traditional market are household goods such as various foodstuffs, kitchen utensils, clothes, fruits and other daily necessities.
chicken, anchovies, salted fish and eggs which are usually sold in "weekend"
there are also those who sell shells even though they are not always available.
salted bloated fish which is usually made from a type of curried fish steamed with a lot of salt and wrapped in paper, sellers use bamboo baskets like this, this fish is very delicious and popular with the public, so this fish is always available in traditional markets.
A variety of fresh fish, tofu, tempeh and noodles are also sold in this traditional market
Various fruits are also sold in this traditional market.
a variety of local vegetables that characterize this traditional market
various sandals and clothes
variety of traditional cakes and snacks.
every week there will be children's toys such as "odong odong" namely children's toys, that can be ridden in the form of trains and cars, some are driven by machines and some are driven by pedaling by odong-odong craftsmen. so those who bring children, can shop in peace, children can play odong odong for a relatively cheap fee of 5000 rupiah (USD.0.35) for several rounds.
The "weekend" traditional market makes it very easy for people to get their daily needs, because usually the traditional market which is held once a week in my area is not far from where I live. Besides that, because it is held in the afternoon until the evening, working housewives can shop after work.
That's the Friday market in my area, thank you for reading my writing. All photos are mine personally

I loved your market! I find it interesting having the different markets in different locations on different days! I really like that idea, unless you are walking. :) You took many pictures and told the story of each, which is perfect. If I had to say anything, it would be that I would rather you don't use blurry pictures, it takes away from such a nice post. You had enough that you could have not used them.
I want to thank you for being a part of the #MarketFriday Challenge. I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.
Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:
Take pictures! Be creative!
5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
