I did not do any after Christmas shopping this year. I enjoyed having the time off and stayed home - away from the computer - as much as possible. It was glorious.
Now begins the task of putting the house back together. The tree is down, replaced in it's dark solitude for the next 11 months before again being brought out to shine it's light down upon me. Most of the decorations are put away. What will stay out are the outside white lights, the indoor lit garland, and the Dept 56 houses. The front room becomes so peaceful with the glow of white lights.
Good for you! It does feel good to be away from technology, and devices for that matter. I like to give my brain a rest now and again.
I have to say that taking down is not the hard part, but, putting the house back together again seems to take me forever and a day. Or maybe just a tad longer than that.
Indoor lit garland. Subtle perfection. Yes. Truly peaceful. I have some down in my lower level, just barely there and all atwinkle.
Le sigh.
Remember that #MarketFriday loves you1
Yes! I have an old, nearly broken, untuned, rarely used piano in the game room downstairs that is adorned year round with snow globes and a lit garland snaked through them.

You couldn't just let me think you lived in a warmly lit, cozy little bungalow?
