Hello StemSocial Community! Welcome to my blog. Today is the start of the Ramzan (Holy 9th fasting Lunar Month). Muslims usually fast in this whole month for more than 12 hours in a day. It has religious as well as many scientific benefits for them. Being a Muslim, I also watched the beautiful moon in the sky to witness the start of this month.
Today I have decided to explore scientific hidden facts about fasting. We can fast any month independent of a specific time. According to research, there are many magical benefits of fasting that I'm going to share.
1. Weight Loss
Fasting more than 12 hours in a single day helps us to lose weight. Less carbohydrates, protein, and lipid intake save us from obesity. Moreover, the body also starts utilization of extra fat in our body when we have starvation.
2. Insulin Sensitivity
When fasting, Adrenaline releases less insulin in the blood, and Pituitary Gland releases more growth hormone. Less insulin increases the sensitivity of body cells.
3. Cellular Repair
When fasting, the body starts the process of Autophagy. Older cells are renewed by new efficient cells.
4. Positive Impacts on Brain Cells
By fasting, brain cells function actively. It has been proved that people who fast have more memory than people who don't fast.
These are some of the positive impacts I have experienced in my life as well.
Final Thoughts
Fasting is also a religious worship in many Countries. To please God, people also started fasting. It doesn't have any doubt when we fast, it produces the feeling of hunger. It increases the power of sympathy for people who are facing starvation. Moreover, if we serve our one meal to a Person who doesn't have anything to eat, it will produce a ripple effect on humanity. The real meaning of life is to feel pain for others. Fasting not only has religious benefits but also physical as well as worldly effects.
In the end, I wish Happy Month of Ramadan to all Hive Muslim Community. Don't forget to fast and also tell the world about its magical benefits. Thanks!
