I wondered if this was heading down the route of a dyson sphere. I think we need to start investing more in nuclear power for the time being. It will be interesting to see what the new administration does. They seem to be hell bent on sticking with fossil fuels, which I guess is good for you :)
No it is not really good for me. I am an earth scientist, so I do like a healthy planet. There are things we can get off fossil fuel rather quickly, and then there are things we can't in 50 years. You can't fly a commercial airplane on solar in 50 years, but you can ride a solar personal car.
Well that's good to hear. I live near the great lakes, so oil and gas lines are always a big concern around here. People are really short sighted when it comes to some things. It's pretty clear now that you are used to dealing in eons, so you definitely get it :)
