in StemSocial9 days ago

So many people are suffering from diverse health issues. Some of them are quite incurable and some can actually be curable. At the end of the day, it point down to the fact that there are some issues a lot of people are facing which needs to be attended to health wise. So many health issues which some of them might not be detected at the very early stage not until it has grew to become something chronic in their body. Among lots of health issues that people faced, one that has been raising curiosity lately in my heart is tuberculosis.

Research have made me to understand that Tuberculosis is among the list of dangerous infections that yearly kills a lot of people. The fact that it is killing a whole lot of people even though it is durable and can be prevented is something that gives me concern. When it actually comes to Tuberculosis, I believe a lot of people did not know how it works and so it makes it difficult for them to know how to treat it.

Tuberculosis can be spread by an infected person either through their cough, through their sneeze or even when they speak. Not only that, when it comes to tuberculous, there are two major types. We have the latent TB and we have the Active TB. Most people usually faced the latent TB at the early stage before it grews to something like active TB

The goodness about tuberculosis majorly for people that has it is the fact that it is curable. That means there are treatments that can be applied which can treat it completely unlike other diseases we known like Cancer, Aids and many more that are not treatable. Most of the time, when a patient have been diagnosed of tuberculosis, they are placed on antibiotics for several months. There are ranges of drugs that are usually given to them but most of the time when the disease is at the crucial stage, it is always advisable to go for surgery which they call the intensive treatment.

Just like they always say that prevention is better than cure. I believe it can be prevented if some certain things are put in place. A lot of people who are suffering from tuberculosis didn't intentionally contact it. If only some of them have been aware of some preventive measures to be followed, it will have helped them and I believe there are lots of things the government can do to help raise awareness for people to be aware of TB symptoms so that it can be address at the early stage. Not only that, I believe the perspective people have about tuberculosis patienti should change to actually reduce the stigmatisation they usually have.

At the end of the day, it is a good news that medically, there is improvement happening as regards some certain diseases. Not even limited to Tuberculosis but other diseases like cancer, Aids. At least we are seeing improvement of new drugs coming up to treat it and it is good. In a little short while, I am so sure everything will be bright. If you have tuberculosis and you are reading this, be rest assured, everything is definitely going to be fine.
