See the difference between science and philosophy is logic and reasoning these tools are in science and philosophy both but it's how they are used. Where science used logic reasoning and data to suggest or confirm a point. Where philosophy use of them is different it uses logic an reasoning to question or tell the difference between something without having to use probability and statistics. Sat if I were a scientist wanting to show that the intelligence of the canine species is higher than that of a feline, I would perhaps measure the intelligence by scoring them in comparison to a human. So I would devise a system which would Guage intelligence 0 being the lowest and 10 being the highest I would put something like a mouse at the lowest and human beings at the highest. Than I would test the intelligence of the two species and whoever scored higher most consecutively would be suggested to possess the higher Intel. Than after I get My results I submit them for others to preform and see if they get similar results. Where philosophy is I believe that dogs have higher intellect than cats, I can compare the behavior once or twice to come to a conclusion and don't need to verify it with others because it is a seemingly objective truth.
