Spectacular Solar Images Released by ESA

The European Space Agency (ESA), located in Darmstadt, Germany, has recently released a series of high resolution images of the sun via its Solor Obitor mission. The images are considered some of the best and closest visual observations to date. A downloable video has also been made available.

The observation was made approximately 48 million miles (77 million kilometers) out from the sun and involved a full array of instruments. The solar mission is just begining to bear fruit and has more productive years ahead of it. In 2025, detailed exploration of the sun's polar region will begin and will yield some intriguing results.
