This structure that they have found now is called Quipu by the Inca measurement system, it has the astonishing amount of 200 quadrillion solar masses and is about 1300 light years, in mass much greater than the one I told you about a few months ago, at least by mass it far exceeds it, to accurately determine the cosmological parameters it is necessary to know what structures there are in the universe, so finding a megastructure of these characteristics means that it can alter some of the calculations we have about it. universe, the observed universe.
The superstructures, which is not the only one, are extremely large structures, in this case it contains groups of clusters and superclusters of galaxies, it is not that it contains galaxies, it is that it contains superclusters of galaxies, which is brutal in itself, they are so massive that it challenges our understanding of how the universe evolves because it is assumed that the expansion should be regular, once the Big Bang occurs and the Universe expands, we already know that there was an acceleration of the expansion of the universe a long time ago. 5000 million years.
Not even the expansion of the universe is something regular, it also changes, but it was assumed that at least the distribution of galaxies, mass, gases, matter structures, etc. of the universe should be regular in this expansion, well no, and if it is not regular, we have to ask ourselves what is there behind it, why, what is happening there, because there is an accumulation in that area, what special thing has happened there for that accumulation to occur.
That great attractor is a point, we don't know what is there, because there is nothing in principle at that point where they converge, where the set of galaxies that surround us are heading, but the great tractor is a little ant compared to this super structure, we are talking about clusters of galaxies while the great attractor attracts at most one cluster, that of Virgo and little else.
Specifically, they have found five structures that so far account for 45% of the clusters in the entire universe and 30% of the Galaxies in the universe and accumulate 25% of the matter. The question in the end is to know what is behind that structure. Why does that happen in that part of the universe? Is it due to an alteration? Is it due to some phenomenon during the Big Bang? Is it due to other types of phenomena? that is in the microwave background that is the product of the current collision with another universe, which has caused this vacuum.
In this case we do not know, there is still no data on what could have caused this structure, what also has to be studied is how this structure alters the conditions for observing the universe since, for example, it can alter the images we have of the universe through gravitational lensing effects or alter some measurements that are made of the entire universe, which is why it is interesting to study these superstructures, both to know their origin, to know their cause, and to know how they alter the way in which we are seeing the universe itself.
