The radiator panels nominally move to protect the Blue Ghost subsystems from external temperatures. The descent can only be controlled by thrusters, the terrain is also hard and rugged which makes the margins of error in the descent speed extremely narrow, if everything goes as planned the lander will operate its scientific payload for a full lunar day, that is, 14 Earth days to capture even a solar eclipse when the earth passes in front of the sun and a lunar sunset.
Its operation will continue for several hours during the lunar night before turning off forever, this is normal in lunar missions. Let's not remember that the lunar night reaches temperatures below 246 degrees Celsius below zero and it is a challenge to keep the spacecraft operational during that transition, obviously as long as the spacecraft manages to land.
