RE: The pharmacological effect of snake venom and why it is important in modern medicine

in StemSocial3 years ago

I know there were good things that could be achieved with snake venom, but I never took the time to look up for existing examples. It was thus quite instructive to read your blog.

The first example you mentioned (snake venom as a replacement for morphine) seems to be the most useful one, in my opinion. I am however wondering why it is not that spread. Maybe a question of supply? Or are there any secondary effects that could be very painful?

Getting snake venom as a replacement of morphine is possible, though it is scarce and expensive.
I don't think if there is any secondary effect.

Thank you for coming around sir, I really appreciate

Thanks for clarifying and confirming my thoughts! it is thus definitely not spread ^^
