My wife is suffering from anemia during pregnancy

My wife is pregnant and is 7 months pregnant. I took her to the doctor for a check-up. The doctor did some blood and urine tests and also an ultrasound test. Although the baby was healthy, my wife's urine showed infection and her hemoglobin level was low. I was very worried, both the mother and the baby should be kept healthy.

The doctor was a woman, so being a woman, he was very caring towards women. He talked to my wife a lot, although other doctors do not. He prescribed cefuroxime antibiotic to cure the urinary tract infection. My wife took this antibiotic for 7 days and after re-testing, there was no infection in her urine or the infection level had returned to normal. After that, I think cefuroxime antibiotic is very effective.

The biggest problem is that the hemoglobin level in the blood is very low, 9 grams per deciliter (g/dL). , but a woman's hemoglobin level should be 12.0–15.5 grams per deciliter (g/dL) in her blood. This is what worries me the most. It is called anemia. My wife will bleed when she delivers and it may be dangerous for her at that time, so she needs to be given proper treatment right away.

There are various symptoms of anemia, which are headache, dizziness, nausea, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, etc. But my wife did not show these symptoms. She is probably in the initial stage of anemia. She is leading a very normal life and has a need to eat. However, she claims to be weak and dizzy. One of the symptoms I see in her is dizziness.

Anemia is most often seen due to iron deficiency in the diet, but various diseases in the body can reduce the production of red blood cells or attack red blood cells. Anemia can also occur due to these reasons. The doctor has not tested my wife for any such problem, so I am starting to suspect that she has some kind of disease. The doctor probably assumes that my wife's anemia is due to a lack of iron in her diet.

The doctor has prescribed two medicines for my wife to take regularly, one of which is Zif-CI which contains Carbonyl Iron, Folic Acid and Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate. Another medicine is ferrous fumarate. Both medicines increase hemoglobin in the blood, which means it increases blood. The first medicine is more effective than the second medicine.

If this does not cure my wife's anemia, then she will have to take an injection several times. We will meet the doctor again and do the tests again to see if my wife's anemia has improved. We also want to see what is the cause of this anemia. It is very important to know this now. First, the cause of the problem must be found and then proper treatment can be given. I will ask the doctor a question, "Why have the causes of my wife's anemia not been diagnosed?" . Now if anemia is caused due to low iron in the diet then the injections will have to be taken after this. Then my wife can easily get rid of anemia.
