The robot that cuts your hair.

In addition to receiving and parking for you.

Imagine arriving at the hotel to be greeted by a robotic assistant, leaving your car with an electronic wallet, even cutting your hair with an artificial hairdresser, it seems like a scene from a movie, but it is already happening in China, human robots are leaving the laboratories and increasingly entering people's daily lives. A clear example of this is Xiaomai, a robot created by the Chinese startup MagicLab that, in addition to performing various real functions, is going to participate in the world's first half marathon exclusively for humanoid robots.

Xiaomai is just a common robot with 1.74 cm height, extremely agile arms and advanced artificial intelligence capable of interpreting customer needs and offering highly personalized services. Xiaomai's versatility allows it to work in diverse environments such as hotels, company receptions, vehicle dealerships, parking lots and even beauty salons where it can already do quite interesting hairstyles, I want to see when it picks up the scissors.

Robot Features

And Xiaomai is also preparing for the first half marathon of humanoid robots to be held in Beijing. The event aims to demonstrate resistance, balance and agility, proving that these humanoids are ready for increasingly demanding tasks. The secret behind the ability of these robots lies in the technical precision developed by Magiclab.

Its robotic brother, the Magicbot, for example, has 42 degrees of freedom, which allows extremely natural movements, equipped with multidimensional pressure sensors, high-torque actuators and an advanced combination of RGBD cameras, lidar and ultrasonic sensors, it can see the environment in 360º.

Security is guaranteed by intelligent systems that detect obstacles and people around, allowing these robberies to operate quietly in places with a lot of human movement. In addition, the Magicbot supports loads of 40 kg and can work for up to 5 hours straight, even on unstable terrain, reinforcing its practical application and operational security.

Built for greater interaction with humans.

Natural interaction with humans is one of the main objectives of MagicLab, using advanced techniques such as imitation learning, 6D visual servo, Xiaomai and Magicbot can quickly learn new tasks just by observing people perform actions, this creates an extremely intuitive and natural interaction, facilitating daily coexistence with humans in real environments.

MagicLab already plans to produce nearly 400 humanoid robots like Xiaomai in 2025 and close more than 1,000 commercial partnerships to integrate them in places such as shopping malls, hospitals, companies and even residences, with significant government support the startup is part of a larger Chinese strategy that has transformed robotics into a national priority to boost innovation and productivity, competing directly with giants such as Unitree, UBTech and Edbot all from China MagicLab is betting on its fine and already advanced control technology to redefine the standards of precision and interaction in the global robotics market.

Robots like Xiaomai and Maic Boots clearly show the future that awaits us in an increasingly closer and natural coexistence with intelligent machines whether in commerce, services or at home, but the question remains: would you feel comfortable being served by a humanoid robot?, especially with scissors in your hands.
