My younger sibling has a real penchant for spicy food, and luckily, they don't have any ulcers or abdominal issues. This love for spiciness seems to be a common trait among Nigerians, as we're somewhat renowned for our appreciation of fiery flavors. However, my recent exploration of the effects of spicy food on health led me to some intriguing findings.
A lot of people have suffered certain health challenges because of eating spicy snacks such as Cheetos. A very good example is one that happened to rapper Lil Xan, where he explained that as he ate the hot Cheetos, it ripped something in his stomach causing him to puke a little blood. Also, there have been cases of children having gastric distress from hot Cheetos.

There was another rather unclear case where a woman said a 16-month-old toddler was eating hot Takis and had throat cancer, and his teeth were affected as a result of his gums being affected. Personally, I do not know why a toddler should eat something that spicy, but I didn't see any scientific backup for that case. This doesn't erase the fact that hot food is responsible for a lot of stomach issues which includes Gastritis, and Stomach Ulcer. For Cancer, I doubt it can lead to it because there is no single cause for cancer as it requires many factors including genetic, environmental, or constitutional characteristics of the body to exist.
Gastritis, which stems from inflammation of the stomach lining, can be triggered by factors such as infections, burns, surgery, stress, smoking, long-term use of prescription drugs, excessive alcohol consumption, and, of course, spicy food. Individuals with gastritis may experience symptoms like stomach pain, vomiting, hiccups, burning sensations, and, in severe cases, vomiting with blood or the presence of blood in feces.
Although the stomach has its acid which is responsible for breaking down food, it is against foods that would vastly change its acidity increasing it. When a person suffers from gastritis, they are at a high risk of having stomach tumors as well as Peptic ulcer disease. The ulcers can be Gastric Ulcers in the stomach, or duodenal Ulcers in the small intestine. The best way to limit the pain is avoidance of an empty stomach as well as using antacids to lower the pH level in the stomach. When it comes to eating Hot spicy food, they increase the pH of the stomach is increased. increases stomach acidity, causing stomach aches which can double over time.
How much spice is too much for the body? First, it is important to know that people who suffer from acid reflux can get worse symptoms when they eat spicy food, leading to irritation of the esophagus, and can lead to heartburn. The basic fact is, that this can't be completely identified because the amount of spice tolerance of people changes from person to person. Some people can only handle a small amount of spice, while others are able to eat lots of spicy food. Depending on how well you eat spicy food, you can train your body to adjust to it without having diarrhea, or any other gastrointestinal problems.
It is important to know the level of spice you can consume, and this can be done by checking the serving size for whatever meal you are consuming. Look at the Scoville Heat Units (SHUs) and be sure that you are taking something with a very low SHU before consuming.

I can imagine. Actually, spicy food and its danger to the body differs from person to person, region to region. This is the truth as so many people have trained their body to be able to eat lots of pepper without having side effects, while lots of people would not dare to take pepper.
