If you have been following international politics, especially as they relate to Africa, you will already know that there is a full blown war in Sudan - a couple of countries away from Nigeria. The situation is so bad that virtually all the aircrafts in the country have been burned to the ground, meaning that evacuation of civilians is next to impossible. There are currently no estimate of the number of lives that have been lost.
This is to those who are quick to drum up the call for war whenever things don't go in their favour when it comes to politics in Nigeria. Only the beginning of war may be known, no one can predict how it will end.
Let's come together to build our country because there's no place like home.
Welcome to a new edition of STEMng Digest.
Who are we?
STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.
Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:
Does working out have some kind of relation with self confidence? Without looking up at any relevant scientific investigation, a work-out enthusiast will readily tell you yes. There is just something about taunt, built muscles that instill a kind of self confidence in one and this author feels the same way. Fortunately, there are relevant scientific reports to back up the feelings. Read this article to find out more about these reports.
A scientific look at nostalgia2.@sam9999:
If you have ever relived a joyful memory of the past, so much so that you wish to go back to it, you have experienced what is known as nostalgic feeling. Even though this happens to me a lot of times, I have never thought there could be a scientific side to it. Thanks to this author, the mechanism behind it is unraveled in this post. Quite an interesting piece.

Hive Ghana Health Project - Funding A Glaucoma Story
This week's post from our Optometrist is an inspiring one about kindness. The author and his team encountered an aged woman with a glaucoma situation that seemed to be eating into her eyesight due to lack of financial means to get the relevant drugs. Fortunately, they were able to intervene by supplying her with drugs that could last her for 3 months, and also promised to follow up even beyond then.4.@nattybongo:

War is the most disastrous act that any country or anyone can get into. For whatever reason, war is never an option. Those who witnessed the Nigeria - Biafra civil war still remember the trauma.
Following up the stories of Ukraine, Sudan and other countries that have experienced war, we should never even think of war in our country Nigeria.
Dialogue remains the best solution to everything. Peace is priceless. Let us join hands together to build our Nation in unity and peace.
Nice collection of great contents @gentleshaid! Kudos to the authors!
You have said it all. Irrespective of how badly managed we may think the country is, calling for war is never an option. Those fanning the ember of war are either ignorant or are comfortably fanning it from another country where they know their safety and that of their family is guaranteed.
Yeah, you're very correct.
