I am one of those people who was born with an innate curiosity for paranormal stories, legends, traditions and culture of countries, towns and that includes some places; but especially, abandoned places call my attention, among them houses, churches, parks, towns. So when I see an old house in a state of abandonment, many questions come to my mind, like who would live there, and if the place produces some sensation, emotion or feeling, my curiosity increases, then instinctively, I look for a way to know what is behind those ruins....
This has always been, as a child I ventured to these abandoned places with my friends and as an adult, I'm still the same, but with more caution ha, ha, ha, ha, I must say that as a child I was very daring, I got into the places to inspect, but that if the first sign of something strange, we ran out like crazy and I did not go alone, I had my allies. But there was a place that I knew since I was a child, that I wanted to inspect, but I did not have the opportunity, because I was always with my parents so I had to resign myself to see it from afar and it is this big house that I present in the photo, which in its time was a luxury hotel, very famous in the time of Juan Vicente Gomez who was a lover of the sea and ordered it to be built in 1926, inaugurated in 1928. It was called Miramar.
Over time, every time I visited that part of the coast where this beautiful mansion is located, I wondered what stories it had behind its rickety doors and large windows and as my curiosity remained intact, I began to ask among the residents of the place, since being such an old building and even heritage of the place they fenced it to prevent it from being taken as a refuge for street people or that it was taken by people of bad life. ... but also to prevent curious people like me from entering its spaces, although personally, today I would not enter a place that was not safe, so I was content to continue investigating about the place.
I was told that in those beautiful ruins you can see, at night, a beautiful woman dressed very elegantly in period costume, who looks nostalgically towards the sea and when she realizes she is being observed, she vanishes before the astonished gazes of the curious? At the time I took this picture, it was night and I could not help looking to see if I saw something ha, ha, ha, ha, although I must admit that it gave me some fear at the same time, because just to see it and at night with the shadows caused by the darkness, in which it is submerged only illuminated by the moon and the external lighting of the boulevard where it is located in Macuto, in the state of Vargas, Venezuela, it is not very difficult to imagine many more stories.
This old mansion is already part of the history of this popular seaside resort and today it is better cared for. The first photo that is on the cover was in 2023 and the last one was in 2024, where you can see that they did some maintenance, painting it, fencing it better and, as you can see, it continues to attract my attention, that even documented I have it, I hope you enjoy its history and images,! Soy de las personas que nació con una curiosidad innata por las historias paranormales, las leyendas, tradiciones y cultura de los países, pueblos y eso incluye a algunos lugares; pero en especial, me llama la atención los lugares abandonados, entre ellos las casas, iglesias, parques, pueblos. Entonces cuando veo sobre todo alguna casona antigua, en estado de abandono, viene a mi mente, muchas preguntas, como ¿quiénes vivirían allí?, y si el lugar me produce alguna sensación, emoción o sentimiento, más se aviva mi curiosidad, entonces instintivamente, busco la manera de saber lo que hay detrás de esas ruinas...
Esto siempre ha sido, de niña me aventuraba a estos lugares abandonados con mis amigos ya de adulta, sigo igual, aunque con más precaución ja, ja, ja, debo decir que de niña era muy osada, me metía a los lugares a inspeccionar, pero eso si al primer signo de algo extraño, salíamos corriendo como locos y no iba sola, tenía mis aliados. Pero hubo un lugar que conocía desde niña, que quise inspeccionar, pero que no tuve la oportunidad, porque siempre estaba con mis padres así que tenía que resignarme a verla de lejos y es esta gran casona que presento en la foto, que en su tiempo fue un hotel de lujo, muy famoso en la época de Juan Vicente Gómez quien era amante del mar y lo mando a construir en 1926, inaugurado en el año 1928. Llamado Miramar.
Con el tiempo, cada vez que visitaba esa parte del litoral donde está ubicada esta bella casona, me preguntaba, que historias tendría detrás de sus desvencijadas puertas y grandes ventanales y como mi curiosidad seguía intacta, empecé a preguntar entre los residentes del lugar, ya que por ser un edificio tan antiguo y hasta patrimonio del lugar lo cercaron para evitar que fuera tomado como refugio de personas de la calle o que fuera tomado por personas, de mal vivir... pero también para evitar que personas curiosas como yo, nos adentráramos a sus espacios, aunque personalmente, hoy día no entraría a un lugar que no fuese seguro; así es que me conformé con seguir investigando acerca del lugar.
Me contaron, que en esas bellas ruinas se puede divisar por las noches según, una hermosa mujer vestida muy elegantemente vestida de época, que mira nostálgicamente hacia el mar y que al percatarse de ser observada, se desvanece ante las miradas atónitas de los curiosos... para el momento en que tome esta foto, era de noche y no pude evitar quedarme viendo a ver si veía algo ja, ja, ja, aunque debo admitir que me daba cierto temor al mismo tiempo, pues nada más al verla y en plena noche con las sombras que provoca la oscuridad, en que está sumergida solo iluminada por la luna y por la iluminación externa del bulevar en que está ubicada en Macuto, en el estado Vargas, Venezuela, no es muy difícil imaginarse muchas más historias.
Ya esta vieja casona, forma parte de la historia de este popular balneario y hoy en día está más cuidada. La primera foto que está de portada fue el 2023 y la última fue del 2024, donde se puede ver que le hicieron cierto mantenimiento, pintándola, cercándola mejor y, como ven, sigue llamando mi atención, que hasta documentada la tengo, espero que disfruten de su historia e imágenes,! La verdad que mirar esa casona hasta a mi me da curiosidad en recorrerla y más si allí se ve a alguien, creo que a mi también me daría escalofrío ver a alguien pero a la vez si quisiera, es como una contradicción interna que me ocurre, debe ser la curiosidad que me da.
Además me alegra mucho que el lugar haya sido mantenido, porque realmente es una hermosa casa y más porque mira al mar. Siempre hay historias fascinantes alrededor de estos lugares y atrae mucho en este caso.

Es una casona hermosa, a pesar de que inspira terror y mas si se la ve de noche jaja nunca hice exploraciones, el miedo siempre me ganaba, pero me encanta ver los sitios abandonados de lejos, uno se puede imaginar las 1000 y 1 historias que podrian suceder alli 👀
La casona es imponente, esta bien cuidada, pero eso no significa que no de escalofrios jaja mire bien las fotos a ver si veia alguna sombra o a aquella mujer que mencionas, uno nunca sabe cuando podria capturar algo 👻

They repaired it because it is part of the Macuto Boulevard and because they took into account that it is part of the history of the place. Besides, it is a magnet for the curious like me, hahaha, that's why they fenced it off.

Estas casas antiguas dan mucho temor ya que su paredes guardan muchas historias unas de tragedia que encierran mucha energía negativa, el ambiente puede ser muy pesado y tenso para los visitantes.

A gloomy place in the midst of darkness, it reminded me of my childhood when we used to go down to Lido Beach, across from the El Palmar Hotel, now a residence. We were always intrigued by the tunnel, enclosed by a solid fence, that connected the beach to the hotel below the street.
Of course, on sunny days, it inspired nothing but curiosity.
