Luna era una gatita de aproximadamente dos meses de nacida, que mi pareja y yo decidimos adoptar mediante una fundación de rescatistas que conocíamos acá en Maracay. Era una gatita muy adorable, divertida, a veces un poco odiosa, pero también era muy cariñosa. De verdad que amábamos tanto a nuestra pequeña, que no pensamos que se nos iría tan pronto, pues no sabíamos la gravedad en la que se encontraba
Luna was a kitten about two months old that my partner and I decided to adopt through a rescue foundation we knew here in Maracay. She was a very adorable kitty, funny, sometimes a little obnoxious, but she was also very affectionate. We really loved our little one so much that we didn't think she would leave us so soon, as we didn't know how serious she was.

Mi pareja y yo teníamos tiempo, buscando adoptar un gatito, y casualmente dimos con el perfil de Instagram que era una fundación de rescatistas de la ciudad en que vivimos. Mientras revisaba su perfil, me fijé en una gatita que realmente era preciosa y tenía 2 meses de nacida. Luego de esto, me puse en contacto con la persona que tenía a la gatita, y tanto mi pareja como yo decidimos traerla a casa, sin embargo la persona se ofreció en llevar a la gatita a nuestra casa e incluso esterilizarla cuando tuvieran los 4 meses.
My partner and I had been looking to adopt a kitten for a while, and we happened to come across an Instagram profile of a rescue foundation in the city where we live. While checking out their profile, I noticed a kitten that was really beautiful and was 2 months old. After this, I contacted the person who had the kitten, and both my partner and I decided to bring her home, however the person offered to take the kitten to our house and even spay or neuter her when she was 4 months old.

Cabe destacar, que solamente hubo una cosa que nos disgustó, y era que la señora le daba comida cruda, como pollo crudo y carne molida cruda, cosa que nosotros sabemos que no está bien. A lo que nos causó duda puesto que es una fundación que debería saber acerca del cuidado adecuado de estos animalitos. Al final, ella nos trajo a la gatita, y la llamamos Luna. Nos enamoramos totalmente de ella, con sus ocurrencias, por lo mucho que dormía, y muchas cosas más. Luego de desparasitar a Luna, después de unos días, ella empezó a verse decaída y a tener diarrea, nosotros buscamos los medios para poder ayudarla, alimentandola bien, y no dejándola sola. Pero, así como parecía que mejoraba, también se veía peor otros días. Y también notamos que no había botado los parásitos que debería botar.
It should be noted that there was only one thing that upset us, and that was that the lady was giving them raw food, such as raw chicken and raw ground beef, which we know is not right. Which caused us to have doubts since she is a foundation that should know about the proper care of these little animals. In the end, she brought us the kitten, and we named her Luna. We totally fell in love with her, with her witticisms, how much she slept, and many other things. After deworming Luna, after a few days, she started to look down and had diarrhea, we looked for ways to help her, feeding her well, and not leaving her alone. But, just as she seemed to be getting better, she also looked worse on other days. And we also noticed that she had not shed the parasites she was supposed to shed.

Finalmente, solo había pasado semana y media, cuando ya había ocurrido todo esto. Ya nuestra gatita había empezado a hacerse caca solita, cuando ella estaba tranquila en su arenero, incluso intentó escaparse varias veces. Mi pareja y yo investigando y haciendo lo posible por ayudarla, entendimos que luna se estaba yendo por una razón, y sí, la que ustedes están pensando. Ya en nuestra mente había pasado todo lo malo que podría pasar.
Finally, only a week and a half had passed, when all this had already happened. Our kitty had already started to poop on her own, when she was quiet in her litter box, she even tried to escape several times. My partner and I were investigating and doing our best to help her, we understood that luna was leaving for a reason, and yes, the one you are thinking about. Already in our minds everything bad that could happen had happened.

Un día, fuimos a comprar más alimento para ella, vitaminas y otras cosas que nos había dicho el veterinario, pero solo salimos poco tiempo, y cuando llegamos encontramos a luna en su arenero sin fuerza alguna, convulsionando y ya fallecida. Honestamente, fue una experiencia muy traumante, mi novio fue el que con todo el dolor del mundo pudo agarrar su arenero. Y la llevamos a un sitio donde nadie la viera. Y así fue como nuestra pequeña Luna se nos fue, tenía un parásito muy fuerte que lo empezó a botar fue a los últimos días, ya se la había comido toda por dentro, hicimos todo lo que pudimos. One day, we went to buy more food for her, vitamins and other things that the vet had told us, but we only went out for a short time, and when we arrived we found Luna in her sandbox without any strength, convulsing and already dead. Honestly, it was a very traumatic experience, my boyfriend was the one who with all the pain in the world was able to grab her sandbox. And we took her to a place where no one would see her. And that's how our little Luna left us, she had a very strong parasite that began to throw it away in the last days, it had already eaten her all inside, we did everything we could.
