I have already shared in other posts that going for a walk with our doggies is an exercise that we enjoy very much and that brings us many health benefits. And, we also know that for them it is the joy of the day because what they like most of these walks is to sniff everything around them, this is a way to communicate and feel that they have control over their environment. As an anecdote, I tell you that Blacky is the number one in this, he thinks he is the owner of the streets and he is not afraid to confront the bigger dogs.
Doggies perceive the world mainly through their nose, because their sense of smell is much more developed than ours, and sniffing allows them to explore, know and understand the environment in which they live. Once, my daughter told me that sniffing every corner is as if they were checking the social networks of the other dogs that have left their mark. They perceive a lot of information about other animals, through the smells they discover on the sidewalks, walls and plants.
For this reason, we must keep in mind that they need enough time to walk, sniff and, also, leave their personal mark on the road. The freedom to sniff makes them feel more relaxed and happy.
As responsible for our pets we must respect their time and their need to sniff everywhere because this exercise contributes to their overall well-being.

Ya he compartido en otras publicaciones que salir a pasear con nuestros perritos es un ejercicio que disfrutamos mucho y que nos aporta muchos beneficios a la salud. Y, también sabemos que para ellos es la alegría del día porque lo que más les gusta de estos paseos es olfatear todo a su alrededor, esta es una manera de comunicarse y de sentir que tienen control sobre su entorno. Como anécdota, les cuento que Blacky es el número Uno en esto, se cree el dueño de las calles y no le da miedo confrontar a los perros más grandes.
Los perritos perciben el mundo, principalmente, a través de su nariz, pues su sentido del olfato es mucho más desarrollado que el nuestro, y olfatear les permite explorar, conocer y entender el entorno en el que viven. Una vez, mi hija me dijo que esto de olfatear cada esquina es como si ellos estuvieran revisando las redes sociales de los otros perritos que han dejado su huella. Ellos perciben mucha información sobre otros animales, a través de los olores que van descubriendo en las aceras, en las paredes y en las plantas.
Por esto, debemos tener presente que ellos necesitan suficiente tiempo para pasear, olfatear y, también, dejar su marca personal en el camino. La libertad de olfatear los hace sentir más relajados y felices.
Como responsables de nuestras mascotas debemos respetar sus tiempos y su necesidad de oler por todos lados porque este ejercicio contribuye a su bienestar integral.

Siempre los dejaba oler el tiempo que quisieran jejeje pero realmente no sabía que era tan importante para ellos. Más razón para volverlos a sacar a pasear.
