Hi,
I am Maple. I was A former feral cat and I was super scared. Scared of everything, really.
I am quite cute, right? Now I am at home and I feel at home as well. It was hard for me to adapt to indoor living. I was scared of my humans and even bit them. But I am very cuddly now. I do love being around my humans. But I am very selective with my love, which only belongs to MY humans, no others.
And then there is my slightly annoying brother, Bats
He would say that I am the annoying one, but I guess, that's a sibling's problem... But I have to say he is really beautiful and he is very cuddly. We've been adopted into a home with two humans, and a senior resident cat Bambi. Bambi is now 24 years old, yeah, no kidding.
And Bambi was very kind to us. She welcomed us immediately into her home and we had a lot of fun. And the fourth part of our feline family is Mona. She is not just gorgeous, but Mona is our rescue, she is so confident, our human calls her character "bulletproof".
So, that's us four felines, and our two humans: Esther and her husband.
We do have a wish. We would like to help shelters and especially foster homes to help feral cats to get more socialized and better prepared for their forever home so that something like what I, Maple, did never ever happen again. I bit my humans badly. And I am not proud of that. And I wish I had known a lot of things earlier. But there was a lot of "trying to help" but not knowing what to do. Our humans do love "bulletproof" cats.
Our definition of that means, that a cat will not hide under the sofa once your human sneezes or puts on the jacket. And we want to educate and help others with similar problems.
We also want to educate that there are breeders, who are doing everything right. And we do want to educate that all breeders are not the same, and also not all rescues are the same.
We want to help and inform owners on what they need to know, but also new pet owners to make a good and proper decision BEFORE they get a pet, no matter from where. You need to be aware that we animals live a long life. For you it's just a few years, for us it's a lifelong commitment to you.

Wait...did my human just get THAT picture? No way! I need to find pictures like that of her! Come on! That's clearly not my "best" side. By the way, do you like it if the belly of your pet has a completely different color than the rest of the fur?
