Just Another Dog Day In Paradise ..
or so says Molly. We went outside to enjoy what was left of the snow, and to take a few glamour shots but instead ran back inside after a few minutes due to the frigid temperatures. Molly was having none of this shenanigans it was not up for a photo shoot in the dead of winter.
I can’t blame her one bit…
We were both ill prepared for the weather. I in my slippers and sweatshirt, and Molly in her birthday suit. Neither one of us were warm enough to endure more than a few minutes in temperatures below freezing.
Is Molly did what most dogs do, you know… her business. We don’t talk about it. She doesn’t like to talk about it and doesn’t admit she actually does it, but she does! LOL. Anyhow, she was getting her poop on when I read it off a couple of pictures low to the Ground. The sun was sitting low on the horizon and probably 20 to 30 minutes from saying it’s final goodbyes for the day.
I thought to myself, dang it’s cold out here! Then I remembered I really wanted to get a few photographs of Molly with the snow. But she was too busy running this way and they’re trying to find the perfect spot to deposit her unmentionable leftovers. These sort of things take time. You can’t rush perfection.
She had her moment and movement… Ha ha Ha. Then she was ready to go back in. I picked her up and set her back down in the yard and said “stay!” Well that didn’t work very well. She licked her lips and gave me the evil eye of death.
Then she did what she always does best, turns her head and looks away from the camera! What a classic Molly move. It doesn’t always just happen to me though, I read about it on a recent blog post by @bulldog-joy that she experiences some of the same frustration. I suppose it’s a dog thing LOL.
OK why fight this. I’m cold, Molly’s cold, it’s cold out. Time to go in!

I looked beautiful out there but so cold I don’t know about dogs but our cat used to be a pain to take photos of she saw the camera or even the phone and would run and hide
100% accurate you are. Cats I think can be worse sometimes. I have to sneak up on Molly to catch her off guard, or yell out cookie, ice cream or treat. Sometimes that works too!

Wowzers .. That's cold. You got us beat by a mile! It dipped to 12F here this morning, but no wind. Less wind the better. I hate cold and wind. -24 really sucks the big one! Makes me wish I was born Hawaiian. 😆
Great photos! The good thing is the days seem to be getting a little longer already. I know that last night it was still a little light out when our outside lights came on at 5. That hasn't been the case. We were down to about -3 the other morning on my way in to work. Thankfully we are getting a bit of a warm up for this weekend.
-3 is brutal. Yes, I noticed just a few days ago that it was still light out when I left work at 5ish. I like that. It won't be long before we are complaining of the heat and humidity. I can't wait to get working in the garden this year, so it needs to start moving along now. No time for cold!
Yes, you are right, no time at all and we will be too hot! Fickle beasts we are. There were a couple years we had like -20 and -30 with the windchill. They shut school down for a whole week. Minnesota seems to get those temps more frequently than we do. Depends on what the Polar Vortex is doing.
We have family up in Fargo and they are always getting slammed with cold and snow. They are thicker skinned than us southern folk. lol. -30 and my butt would be stuck in bed with the heat crankin! 😆
Yeah, I think I would be too. Temps around zero are not bad as long as there is no wind. It's when that wind kicks in that things get nasty.
This is unbelievable place, I love snow lot. Great combination of snow with grass.

Molly royally snubbed the camera, because she can.
Amazingly we got to the beach today being a tad cooler, dogs love it..., but each has to poop, then sniff everyone else's well being going down onto the beach. It is a doggie beach, take a scoop along but many do not bother.
That's a shame that people just don't care enough to pack a poo bag. We are never without one, although Molly's poo is the size of a half a pinky finger. lol.
Yeah she's a snub but I've grown to expect it! hehe. Glad you had a nice beach day. Too dang cold for the beach here, plus the wind is fierce down there this time of year. I am looking forward to warmer beach day for sure!
Beach outings we have a haversack with trowel, plastic bags, towel, water bottle and a bowl.
When on the beach we clean up poo, collect plastic (especially fishing line), dogs need to be wiped down after swimming to remove excess beach sand, drinking water for them when finished the walks.
Hope you get to the beach soon, all dogs love the run irrespective of the weather.
Dogs are such cute creators. Could be mans loyal friend. Very adorable.
