It's been years since I've done much in the way of drawing. There was a time when art was my life...well most of my life it was. So this is an incomplete illustration done to be a part of a children's book in progress which you can read and critique here: The Story Of Yaya The Squirrel
It's actually a recreation of a photograph of Yaya in my Mom's palm. My sister may still have a copy of this photo and I really hope to compare and contrast them sometime. The colored pencils are watercolor pencils, so I need to decide if I want to take a wet brush to it, to complete it, or keep on scratching only. If only I weren't sick I would probably finish it tonight or at least continue working. I would love to be writing something more as well...but alas, I'm going to crawl into bed soon.
