Maya like he’s to tag along on trips with us. Last week we had to take a trip out to West Virginia for a few days on family business and of course, brought my beautiful pup along for the adventure. From our house it’s about a 6 & 1/2 hour drive…and she stands the entire time in the back with her head between the seats for balance. No sitting. All standing. Both ways. What a dunce.
She was super tuckered out and her legs seemed to really be burning the day after each trip. I’m going to imagine due to not only standing the entire car ride, but using those muscles to balance and maneuver while the car is in motion.
Good girls deserve ice cream…right?!?
Well this girl did! On the way home we stopped at our favorite chocolatier’s and ices cream parlors, to load up. I’m not going to NOT get her a bowl to lap up!
Regardless, we had a wonderful time and I’m super blessed to be able to have my pup join us on these trips. Logistics aside, I wish I could have done these types of trips when I had my pack of 4 monsters. But I’m definitely grateful to be able to take advantage now while I have my girl by my side.
The hard to capture, Mexican Bat Dog! It is even more rare to get a pic with spread poncho-wings.
😂
Aww he was So cute ❤️❣️His eyes were looking so pretty ❤️
I’m very lucky that all my pups were lookers. Lol
When I was a kid we used to let the dog ride in the back of the estate car. She would sometimes try to lie on top of a suitcase and then slide off on corners. Dogs won't always realise they are doing things the hard way, but if it doesn't hurt them it can be okay. Enjoy your road trips.
!BEER
Lol
Yeah sometimes whatever works for them is the best solution. Funny as she used to lie down on road trips but now does the ol standing routine
