This is me showing my love for the https://peakd.com/hive-196708/@hive-196708/how-do-you-show-love-to-your-pet-contest-300-hive-prizes contest.

Ways of general love

Showing love by learning

My deep love for animals, especially for dogs, made me go to school to study their behavior. I wanted to confirm my instinctive abilities with facts, to be able to explain what and why. To me showing love means understanding and learning the language is a form of respect towards any living being.

Showing love with body art

Having my loved ones with me till the end is very important to me. The portraits of Molly and Bucki are representing my deep love and with Buckis paw prints on my feet we are walking together forever. When Corona is over I will eventually get Joy on my body as well.

Showing love by trying

Lol, this is another way of showing my love. Not a Van Gogh but close to Picasso and Munch. 😂

Showing love beyond death

When our loved ones pass it is the most devastating thing in the world. The pain is indescribable and our world is shattered. What will last is endless love and by having the urns close by Molly and Bucki are still part of the family.

Three loves of my life

Bucki Love

Bucki was my first rescue dog. We had an extremely special bond and I consider him my first true love. He was my shadow, best friend, partner in crime, soulmate... everything.

He was full of love and known to be "The angel". He passed due to cancer at the age of 10. R.I.P my little angel.

Bucki was spoiled as all of my pets are, going for dinner of course he had his fair share.

And Santa Clause didn't forget about him either.

We always cuddled up, he never realized that he was a 110 lb Rottweiler.

Having fun together was one of our hobbies.

At my grandmas place he felt welcome as well. I have another Tattoo of both of them together.

Bucki enjoyed being brushed and goofing around.

We never separated, even at work he accompanied me. Isn't he a great bartender?

Molly Love

Molly was my second rescue. After Bucki passed I moved to the U.S. where she stumbled in my life.

Besides her past she was a bundle of joy...a funny little Bulldog.

We had tough times and a ton of good times together.

Helping her cute lil butt up the trunk was just one way of showing love, she just pretended to be unable to reach the trunk on her own. Molly was a real athlete.

We had awesome hikes and climbs, like in the Garden Of the Gods in Colorado Springs. She just loved being active. Sometimes I think she wanted to be a mountain goat lol.

I took her to the top of the world.

Molly came around quite a lot and even a nice Country fair we didn't miss.

After exploring the whole of the U.S. we moved back to Germany. Showing love meant making her comfortable while chilling out with friends.

She was a typical Bulldog, thinking she is a cat and sitting on me just like that.

And offering a leg to sleep on was also appreciated.

Molly sadly passed at the age of 8 due to a sudden heart attack. It was an unexpected, traumatizing situation for us and with Mollys heart stoping, ours stoped as well.

Joy Love

Six months after Mollys sudden death Joy came to my life and I truly believe that it was her leading me to him. It was just a coincidence that I saw the add for a rescue in France.

Joy was in a bad shape when we picked him up. Extremely overweight, sick with kidney stones and terrified by everything. But his spirit was shining through already and soon he trusted us.

He is just a big cuddle and our little Buddha.

His name became program...pure Joy.

As with all my dogs, taking him wherever I go is part of my love, as we are a pack and a pack doesn't split.

And yes, spoiling him is another part of showing my love.

Having fun with daddy needs to happen as well. They are just like kids.

And yeah, the cat thing again lol...Joys story is not written yet, and even though he is 7 years already I hope he is able to enjoy his life for many more years to come.

This is so great that you have taken on rescues so many times. The sheer joy they bring to people's lives is immeasurable. I wish there were hundreds of thousands of people in the world with hearts as big as yours. Thank you for doing the good thing when it comes to animals :)

Thank you my friend, you are doing the stuff that really matters!

It is true that it matters taking rescues and providing them with the best life possible, but the tough hard work comes with initiatives like yours, or SoiDog, or RSPCA, you name them.

I've tried to get into helping out at the shelter here a while ago, but somehow the women running it was a big ego type, more into body building and rather unfriendly.

And other than that for whatever reason, at least in the area I'm in, a lot want to see a vocational training to be able to help and take care of animals. Germany, sigh.

Too excess of love in this post!! I liked a lot you share these photos, I really like the body art (and the drawing art to xD, c'mon, you are better than Van Gogh haha)

All of your pets had a very good and loveful life. When I see old photos of my dog I always drop a tear (I'm a little sentimental why can I say haha), So it's great that you are sharing this!! and I hope that I can keep watching Joy´s adventures for many many years more too.

PD: I like how do you show love to all your pets!!

Thanks Antonio, appreciate it :) Same with Briana. And who is loving his companion/pet will always drop a tear in memory...that just comes with it. They are family.

Lot of great shots there. I guess you like your dogs a bit. lol. Used to be into dogs, even used to train professionally for several years. Now we've become cat people the last few years, but still a soft spot for the dogs.

My friend cats are fine too :) You were a dog handler? Nice, military or police?

Civilian and Police. Show dogs, general obedience, attack dogs, guard dogs, personal protection, and then a few Police dogs as well. Few decades ago, but still fond memories.

Cool deal and a tough job 👍. A lot of working dogs, esp. in the police force or military deserve more honor. They are serving the country just as much as human police/mil/civ personnel and training them takes a strong mindset.

I would just spoil them lol. Bucki was a natural. I had a situation where a homeless man got attacked by teens when I walked by at night. I said the one little trigger word and Bucki went and stood in front of the homeless protecting him. Eventually the teens let go and left. He was such an angel.

Your tattoos are amazing. The portraits of course, but the paws on the feet.. damn!

This is a beautiful tribute. I love your puppos <3 and I'm glad you are keeping their spirits alive. Raiden(my mostly-Rottie) and Bucki look like they would get along so well.

This was beautiful. You brought tears to my eyes :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to check this one out :). They all are so special, each single one of them, period. Have you posted sth about Raiden yet interesting name btw ;)?

They all are so special, each single one of them, period

Oh don't I know it. Growing up I drove my father crazy because I would tell him I identified more with dogs than humans and I didn't like humans. I think he thought I was a sociopath. My stance holds.

Raiden is peppered here and there throughout random posts but I've never done just a straight up post about him.. maybe back in the day on Steemit but honestly I don't remember. He's got enough personality to have his own account honestly haha, and I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought of it. Maybe I'll make a post about him soon. He's had quite a ride!

As for his name, after I rescued him(he had no name at the time) he was nameless for like 2-3 weeks. If my memory is correct I think I just called him "buddy", or something like that. I had a long list of names and it took forever to choose one. Raiden was suggested by my partner at the time due to their interest in Mortal Kombat. I didn't think much of it at first. Two weeks later I decided to look up the origin of the name for some reason, and found that it comes from Raijin, the Shinto god of thunder/lightning/storms. It started growing on me then. I almost went with "Raijin" to pay tribute but I figured it could be seen less as paying tribute and more of cultural appropriation; also it's a difficult name to be saying constantly when you're used to speaking in western dialect haha.

Sorry, I rant a lot

Ahh totally fine, thanks for sharing Raidens story with me 😊. I hear you on the people vs animals issue lol. All in all I like animals better too 😉 . I'll keep an open eye to spot Raiden. It took me a while to figure out Mollys name after I got her. She was named Gracie but that didn't fit her character. Molly Malone was my thinking, you know, the Irish hooker 😂

Hahahaha I like the name inspiration. I’ll do a post about raidens story someday! He definitely went from worst-case scenario to well... I was gonna say “best” but life hasn’t always been perfect for him with me haha.. but i try!

I think I understand with the "best" life. Had the same with Molly and sometimes I feel bad that she had to deal with me in a state like that. But they help us, and their love is unconditional, it's just hard to grasp sometimes.
