Fluffy and obedient domestic cats are the perfect combination of short-haired and long-haired cats. Very different and nicknamed, these mutants have distinctive looks and different personalities.
Domestic short-haired cats have a distinctive double coat that is neither long nor short, except that they are fluffy and cute. You can find them in any color, including one color like white, black, orange, two colors like a tuxedo or orange and white, or multiple colors like calico, clamshell, turtle and sea bass. Eye colors are also different and can be seen in shades of green, brown, hazel or blue.
Domestic short-haired cats have different personalities and temperaments due to their crossbreeding. Most cats are playful, friendly, and docile, while others are more expensive and independent. Basic training and desensitization, such as playing with paws, ears, and face, will help your cat become more tolerant and loving adults, but this is not guaranteed.
Free Food Most short-haired cats eat more than they need. In addition to getting enough exercise, you can gain weight quickly and eventually gain weight. This is a common problem with today's cat breeds. Obesity puts cats at risk for complications such as diabetes, respiratory problems, and joint problems such as osteoarthritis. If your cat is overweight or obese, get help from a veterinarian in a weight loss program. To prevent obesity in cats, it is recommended to provide a daily meal, avoid small foods, and engage in daily activities.
Hyperthyroidism, most commonly diagnosed in older cats, is associated with an overproduction of thyroid hormones. This is usually due to a thyroid tumor that is benign but can also be cancerous. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include weight loss, increased appetite or thirst, hyperactivity, uneven speech or coat, and dull or oily coat.
