If overfed or under-exercised, Rottweilers are prone to obesity. Some of the consequences of obesity can be very serious, including arthritis, breathing difficulties, diabetes, heart failure,... 
One of the places that I lived when I was a teen (a very, very long time ago now) had a Rottweiler, and it was a very affectionate animal. If I was in a position to, I would happily have a Rottweiler myself, but my wife is not keen on big dogs.
Since we started the new
