CREEPY CRAWLIES IN MY BED

in Hive Petslast year (edited)

My worst nightmare came to life. A Cockroach on my arm and in my bed. Not only once buy twice and once on my arm in the lounge on the sofa. All within one month.

They say the Cockroaches are the cleanest of all insects, but I really don’t care much about that as the very sight of them puts me into a state of complete panic screaming for help. It’s only four or five centimetres in length and I am 164. I think they are just as afraid of me as I am of them because I clearly remember one running on high extended legs across the carpet trying to sneak passed me. He did look quite cute, and that vision keeps on prodding me to be more humane about spraying them with nearly a whole can of insect spray, even when they are clearly very defeated.

I have come to inspect every Almond I come across in case its one of them. So, the terror has caused me to tear apart the whole house and garage and spray a special Cockroach spray around which has worked extremely well as I find new corpses every day, but I am still remembering the one on long extended legs trying to get away. Why should I feel so guilty about what is clearly a war of the fastest, and most persistent earthly being.

So, my mattress has a double fold around the top edge which is all about comfort, good sleep and aesthetics but has turned out to be a great nesting place for Mr. Cockaracha As I was going around spraying the mattress, I pulled the bed away from the wall and there I found a squashed one that had not made it to my arm during the night. However, I will now have the creeps forever knowing that they had been so close to me and then thinking how often they had perhaps spent the night in and around my head without me knowing.

I recall one, super close, to the other end of my person when standing up to flush the toilet and there, right there, where seconds ago my most private and delicate parts has been, were the wiggling feelers of a huge critter eyeing me with amusement. He landed in the bowl without introduction.

Reading through this very fresh experience I realize it seems that we are inundated with Cockroaches and in truth we were, but no longer and never again. I have expelled the vision of the cute guy with the long legs and sneaky behaviour and aim only at total annihilation in the future.!![]
