¡Hola amigos!
Creo que sería bueno que comenzara explicándoles que ME ENCANTAN los animales. De pequeña mi gran sueño era ser veterinaria para poder ayudar a Miles y Miles de esas pequeñas criaturas tan hermosas. He tenido muchas mascotas a lo largo de mi vida, todas y cada una de ellas siguen en mi corazón aunque ya no estén conmigo. Les hablaré sobre las que están conmigo actualmente, pero primeramente aclaro que para mí son literalmente como hijos, familia.
I think it would be good for me to start by explaining that I LOVE animals. As a little girl my big dream was to be a veterinarian so I could help Thousands and Thousands of those beautiful little creatures. I have had many pets throughout my life, each and every one of them are still in my heart even though they are no longer with me. I will tell you about the ones that are with me now, but first of all I want to make it clear that for me they are literally like children, family.
Kira
La mayor, es una gata de color gris claro, su nombre se lo coloqué debido a que tiene el significado de "Princesa" en un idioma asiático. La personalidad de mi pequeña princesa es algo orgullosa, se enfada muy seguido cuando no le prestó mucha atención, es esquisita a la hora de comer. La adopté hace 6 años cuando descubrí que en el patio trasero de mi casa habían varias crias de gato encerradas en una nevera vieja y oxidada. Para ese entonces yo estaba pasando un momento doloroso por la muerte de una pequeña gatica huérfana que mis primos habían rescatado y me la iban a obsequiar pero lamentablemente estaba muy débil y pequeña así que no resistió. Kira fue mi luz al final del túnel, fue difícil que se quedara conmigo y no con su madre gatuna la cual la abandonó, pero finalmente con mi perseverancia y dedicación logré hacer que se quedara conmigo. Desde entonces me hace los días más felices.
The oldest one is a light gray cat, I named her because it has the meaning of "Princess" in an Asian language. The personality of my little princess is a bit proud, she gets angry very often when I don't pay much attention to her, and she is very picky when it comes to eating. I adopted her 6 years ago when I discovered that in the backyard of my house there were several baby cats locked in an old rusty refrigerator. At that time I was going through a painful moment due to the death of a little orphan kitten that my cousins had rescued and were going to give her to me as a gift but unfortunately she was too weak and small so she didn't resist. Kira was my light at the end of the tunnel, it was difficult to keep her with me and not with her cat mother who abandoned her, but finally with my perseverance and dedication I managed to keep her with me. Since then she makes my days happier.
Cooper:
Mi pequeño gato travieso, hijo de Kira. De color gris oscuro con blanco. Su nombre es debido a un personaje de la famosa serie de "The Big Bang Theory" el protagonista Sheldon Cooper. El pequeño travieso lleva conmigo 1 año desde que Kira lo tuvo junto con otro gatico pero el no tuvo la misma suerte de vivir, recuerdo bien ese día tan trágico para mí princesa ya que era su segunda vez (la primera vez todos murieron) y sentía que tenía mucho miedo ya que me maullaba y caminaba para todos lados, se me subía en los piernas cuando me senté cerca para apoyarla y al final tuve que asistir su parto y ayudarla un poco ya que ambos gatos eran muy grandes.
Hoy en día son una pareja dispareja ya que hay muchas veces en las que se quieren y otras en las que no. Mi pequeño travieso llena mis días de risas con las ocurrencias que hace y cada vez que llego de mis estudios de un día lleno de estrés; él sencillamente me alivia con su ronroneo tan hermoso.
My little naughty cat, son of Kira. Dark gray with white. His name is due to a character of the famous series "The Big Bang Theory" the main character Sheldon Cooper. The little naughty has been with me for 1 year since Kira had him along with another kitten but he did not have the same luck to live, I remember well that day so tragic for my princess because it was her second time (the first time they all died) and I felt she was very afraid because she meowed and walked everywhere, she climbed on my legs when I sat near to support her and at the end I had to assist her delivery and help her a little because both cats were big.
Today they are an odd couple as there are many times when they love each other and other times when they don't. My little mischievous one fills my days with laughter with his witticisms. Sirani:
My beautiful little Turtle. It is named after Elisabetta Sirani (an Italian renaissance painting) I made it just like the "ninja turtles" since they were named after Italian renaissance painters. Sirani came into my life as a birthday present from one of my best friends 1 year ago. When she was given to me as a gift she was much smaller than the palm of my hand. It looked so delicate that I held it with great care. The funny thing about the story of when it arrived at my house is that when I showed it to Kira and Stella they both jumped in fear, my father and I say that they thought a stone moves by itself.
Pancho:
El perico, es un ave de colar verde y típico de mi país. Su nombre es por una canción que cantaba "cantinflas" en una de sus películas. Mi padre lo salvó hace como 10 o 11 meses. En un día lluvioso las aves suelen volar para refugiarse, el pequeño perico no tuvo mucha suerte y tropezó con un árbol enorme haciendo que él callera al barro, mi padre lo recogió y cuido de sus alas por unos días, luego que decidió liberarlo el ave no quiso irse. Hoy en día sigue al lado de mi padre como un amigo fiel.
The parakeet is a green-collared bird typical of my country. It is named after a song that "cantinflas" sang in one of his movies. My father saved it about 10 or 11 months ago. On a rainy day the birds usually fly to take refuge, the little parakeet was not very lucky and stumbled on a huge tree causing him to fall into the mud, my father picked him up and took care of his wings for a few days, after he decided to release him the bird did not want to leave. Today he is still by my father's side as a faithful friend.
Stella
No está conmigo actualmente, murió hace 2 años pero sería injusto no hablarles de ella ya que formó parte de este pequeño equipo. Su nombre fue colocado ya que significa "Estella de la mañana" y para mí eso fue ella, una hermosa estrella que alumbró mi camino. Yo había perdido hace unos 5 años a una perrita muy amada para mí (Pirulina), justo en el día de aniversario de su muerte mi padre vió mi tristeza y decidió traerme una cachorrita que estaban regalando cerca de casa. Las personas no podían cuidar de ella así que la regalaban junto con sus hermanos. Stella llegó a mi vida para brillar y quitarme toda depresión con sus lamidas y juegos. Lamentablemente todo acabo hace dos años y duró conmigo unos 4 hermosos años. Su perdida aún la siento, decidí no tener más mascotas por un tiempo mientras me recuperaba. Si, soy muy sentimental con los animales, mas aun con mis mascotas. Pero aún así llegaron a mi vida otras más criaturas tiernas que hicieron que mi mundo siguiera girando.
She is not with me now, she died 2 years ago but it would be unfair not to tell you about her since she was part of this little team. Her name was given because it means "Estella of the morning" and for me that was her, a beautiful star that illuminated my path. I had lost about 5 years ago a dog very dear to me (Pirulina), just on the anniversary of her death my father saw my sadness and decided to bring me a puppy that was being given away near my house. People could not take care of her so she was given away along with her siblings. Stella came into my life to shine and take away all my depression with her licking and playing. Unfortunately it all ended two years ago and she lasted with me for about 4 beautiful years. I still feel her loss, so I decided not to have any more pets for a while while I recovered. Yes, I am very sentimental with animals, even more so with my pets. But even so, more cuddly creatures came into my life that kept my world spinning.
