About 3 weeks ago, Ethan had his first trail walk. Here in the subdivision that I'm currently at, there's this nearby place that has a very wide space of grass + road that nobody uses, except for people jogging and practicing driving.
Apparently, there's a shortcut to that place. I've never really thought of that since in the main road, it's not that close. But you know, geography is weird haha.
Being a part of a Facebook group for dog lovers in the subdivision, someone posted about going for a trail walk later that afternoon. It's just a short one but the fun part is that we're gonna explore the shortcut.
@Spintwister was at home that time which was a good timing as well, so we decided to go.
We met at the subdivision's gazeebo. The one who led the walk was very friendly and we got introduced to the other dogs as well. There's rottweiler, chihuahua, husky, labrador retriever, and some other breeds I don't know lol.
The leader also recognized Ethan. Apparently they have met the other week while Ethan was with his trainer.
A big part of the subdivision is still under construction which is why there's still an easy access to the grassy creek nearby. In just a few steps, we were there already lol. It was relaxing to see this nature-y part of the place.
To get to the silent-road that I'm talking about earlier, we had to cross the creek. @Spintwister instantly regret wearing her favorite shoes lol but she took it off while crossing so it didn't really get wet.
After crossing the creek, we got to the open space and wallaaahhh we are already at the target destination.
This is where we came from.
This road is wide and long. I don't know what this road was for really... All I remember is we used to use this as a shortcut too but I guess this is private property so people rarely use it.
He got tired pretty fast as he's not used to long walks like this. He's just 6 months old and usually he only walks for 30 minutes max. Also we weren't walking that much either (only with his trainer), since I'm not comfortable with walks in the neighborhood yet during this time (it's getting better now tho) so it's stressful for both of us if we walk alone.
So yeah about half way our walk, he would stop and won't walk anymore so we just carried him. Don't wanna stress him out and at the same time don't want him to risk getting overheated or something lol.
This is at near the end of the subdivision gate. We had to rest cos we were walking for more than an hour now.
The comments he got was that he's tall for his age. I do agree, just a month ago he didn't look like this. He was way smaller and he grew up REALLY FAST. They also asked if the vet said anything about his weight cos according to them he looked a bit skinny. I then told them the vet never mentioned anything.
I just had a check up this week and his weight is fine. :D
This place is really nice for walks. :D
When we were near our street, he hurried to come home. He was so tired that he just went straight to the floor and laid there. He was also drinking a lot of water.
He enjoyed it tho as he made friends with other dogs. :D

Pets and happy and socializing? Lets see a WHOLE LOT MORE of that!!! 🐶 Great seeing some happy happening....
Yah! I'm happy as well cos most dogs I see in this neighborhood are just inside their cages, inside their houses, and barking at whoever passes by. It's clear the dogs with us are being taken good care of :D
Glad to see your dog (Ethan) is doing well. So happy to see you both out walking.
nice post ...
