Do you believe an animal can recognize if a specific person is kind to their kind or species? Because my mom believes in this, I must admit that I, too, believe in this thing.
Growing up, I'd been surrounded by animals, specifically dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. Well, my grandfather was a pet lover and whenever he sees homeless or stray dogs or animals in the street, he would immediately take them with him and bring it home. Despite the difficulty in our financial aspect and scarcity of food on our table, he would not have a second thought about rescuing an abandoned animal and giving them shelter. Fortunately, grandma never fights him for that. And I think, my love for cats and dogs was taken after him.
Now, why am I saying this thing? Well, last night, something unusual and adorable happened. My boyfriend was doing something outside, while I am busy writing an article in our dining area when he frantically called my name. I panicked and immediately went to him because shouting isn't so like him. I thought something bad have happened but then, to my surprise, I saw my cat entering our gate when something was in her mouth. She was carrying something and when I got a clearer view of what it was, I almost drop my jaw.
It was a kitten.
And I don't have any idea where on earth she got it. I was wondering if she catnapped it or what. I mean, she wasn't pregnant in the first place to have a kitten. And mind you, the kitten was so chubby and cute.
I almost scold her when she dropped the kitten in front of me and left as if nothing happened. The kitten runs away from me, it just clearly shows that it wasn't used to seeing a human or tamed. Of course, I held the lil' one with my two hands and it just keeps on resisting my gentle grip.
I was just amazed because the kitten looks so healthy and clean. Seems like someone is caring for him. Yes, him, cause the kitten is a male.
Anyways, we currently have 9 cats running around the house and since a new one joined the tribe, we now have 10 feline friends who would steal our viand whenever they will have a chance.
As I have shared in my introduction, I am a pet lover. I don't know, I just find them so adorable and stress reliever. It seems like they are sucking my bad mood or vibes whenever they are around.

This way someone new arrives to the family, at some point you have to introduce in the community the 10 cats, what they are called and show each one of them. It is nice to know that your grandfather loves animals and somehow that was a teaching for you. Welcome to the community!
