It's been a tough week for us since Jeepjeep is sick, whining, didn't want to sleep and wanted to be cuddled most of the time.
Some days ago, we discovered that Jeep cried while he peed. We change his litter crystal box into tufo so we could check how much pee he's producing now and then. We even go with him to the toilet and see how it goes. Then we noticed that it's only a very small pee he's producing every time with a very loud meeeooww while urinating. If only cats can talk and communicate.
We googled and google his symptoms until we decided to bring him to the vet.
Everyone was so happy to know that Jeepjeep is visiting and most of the staff knows them as we often visited the clinic almost every month last year for their first-year mandatory check-up. We also brought Neyney for some emotional support for his brother. But, she ended up sleeping instead.
We told them about the situation and the possibility that he might have a UTI. Yes, cats can have UTIs too according to google πΉ. But, to make sure that he's okay. They need to get some blood samples from him. He was not happy about it that he starts screaming. That was like a lot of blood π. So, understandable.
Which the doctor said. He's totally fine. his glucose, cholesterol is totally fine. So, that's a relief for us.
Then, to make sure that his kidney is okay. They need to have an x-ray for him too.
They found some tiny crystals on his bladder that might cause his small urination from time to time. They gave us some medication for him to take for weeks and observe his peeing session. Or else, he will be back at the vet and they will put a catheter on him if the crystal will not be dissolved after the meds. Poor coco banana! πΏ
And I guess that's a lot of things that going on for him. He was crying while coming out from the x-ray room and tried to reach my hand and hugged me tightly. My Big Coco is sick. And I feel his pain. And that sucks! It was very emotional while seeing him. It's like watching your kid. Having some difficult time. I think I'm gonna be a chicken Momma for my kids one day if they will be sick like Jeep. I'm just very emotional.
He was so relieved on his backpack after all the blood and x-ray thingy. And Now hoping that those crystals will be dissolved on time that there will be some changes soon.
The Doctor gave us some new meds and ask us not to stop giving them their daily vitamins.

Oh, I hope JeepJeep will be better soon by using that medicines π. Poor cat πΏ:( U know, having pets is like having kids - we need to take care of them and pay attention to their health and needs. It's like a big test for us. Even though I don't have my own dog, I'm just like that with my roommate's dog Loki. Sometimes I feel like I'm a mum to Loki and, unfortunately, I'm giving him more attention than him.
