Chloe is my legitimate daughter, and yes, I didn't stutter; you heard me...🤣🤣
I have always been a cat and dog person for the longest; at first, we had two dogs who sadly passed away. Rex and Molly. Rex was poisoned, and shortly after, Molly was hit by a car. Those were one of the most painful years for me; I cried my eyes out and gave them a befitting burial.

Though Chloe isn't my first kitten, I thought I had bad luck when it came to cats. The first kitten I ever had was a stray cat. He was so little, it looked like his mom had abandoned him; he was an orange cat. That was my first time having a cat; I didn't realize he was very sick till he died 2 days later. I wasn't happy at all. I was already in love with him. He was so cute, yet he didn't live long enough to discuss his purpose in life.
And that's when I adopted Chloe; she was at least a month and a few weeks old. She didn't warm up to anybody. In fact, she ran away after three days. We searched for her until the second day; in the middle of the night, I heard her crying only to see she was so hungry and cold. Since I learned my lesson from the last kitten, I was determined not to let her die. Not on my watch.
We made sure she was warm, and we fed her before visiting the vet the next day. And let's just say there was nothing severe.
I took my motherly duties seriously and nursed her to health, and among all my family members, she feels more safe with me.
Chloe was different from most cats I have encountered; she's a calm personality, yet she's ferocious if you try to take away her chicken. She eats very well. And she finds it hard to get used to new people; you have to try hard to win her over, but once you do, she will be all over you.
Chloe likes, or should I say loves, her attention time. Do not hold your phone; I repeat, do not hold your phone. Once it's Chloe’s attention time, she will climb all over you and your phone to get your attention; sometimes she will walk all over my drawing materials when I'm trying to work.
The moment you caress her head and she purrs, get ready to continue till she sleeps. And if she's not sleeping, you still continue. 😂😂
But with all this love, please don't take her to the bathroom for bath time. I noticed she now knows the direction to the bathroom; the moment she sees you going that direction with you holding her, she starts shouting, hissing, and clawing your skin. And after bath time she won't come close to you.
Every morning, after she gets up, she greets me first by kissing and receiving a kiss from me; it has become a habit between both of us. And when she's hungry, I'm the one she meows at for food. Yet she doesn't allow me to eat my food in peace; we must share my own food unless she's not leaving my plate.
She moves around freely, dominating some part of the house; she's the best mouse catcher, and she's diligent when it comes to her job.
She's actually 4 months and a few weeks old. I'm planning on adopting two more cats when Chloe grows a bit older, a black cat and a pure white cat.
I like how the notion or stereotype of cats being witches is now becoming nothing but false rumors, because I have come across some people who still have this biased mindset about people who have cats or dogs. They just believe being a cat person means you're possessed or something. But recently I can't hide my excitement when I see people who live in my neighborhood having cats, and they are well taken care of.
Thanks for stopping by.
