Does your cat like play with toys? Or do they just ignore it?
I like some toys while others I don't like much. My humans always tell me that is frustrating when they gift me a new toy and I just ignore it.
We cats like to play with moving toys, so next time you gift your cat, try to play with them. If you just throw the toy on the floor and expect us to play, can be a mistake.
Try to see what's kind of toy your cat likes most, in my case and also Sam's, we like flying objects and creepers.
Misha used to love balls, she plays all day rolling the ball all around our home and didn't need much attention, but after a while, she loses interest and our tutors need to go and play with her.
They are always trying to create new toys and sometimes they come up with great ideas.
One that I like a lot, is a shoelace with a not at one end. To stimulate our predatory sense you can try to mimic wild animals' behavior, like jumping, crawling, or flying. Even mixing all of them.
When the object is static, we lose interest, cause we like to hunt moving stuff.
Other toys that we like are the ones that make sounds, so you can give preferences with those with a little bell inside them.
Also, we love feathers, I'm totally crazy about them, and when I can catch it's hard to let them go.
Another day, they come up with the idea to draw a Gekko shape on a piece of paper and stick it on the wall. As Sam love to hunt little mosquitos that usually enter the home, he stays on total alert and jumps higher and higher to catch them.
It was very fun watching him and I decided to play with him. When he could drop the paper, I enter the game to help finish that fake Gekko.
The good side of playing with your cats is that it makes us move, which helps our health and reduces our stress, otherwise, we can spend most of the day laying on the bed.
One that makes Sam very happy is the laser pointer. He pursues it all over the place, running jumping, and at the end of the play, it's always good to have something to catch, like a snack. It helps the cat keep interested, otherwise, as he never can catch that annoying red dot, he may lose interest.

¿A tu gato le gusta jugar con juguetes? ¿O simplemente lo ignoran?
Me gustan algunos juguetes mientras que otros no me gustan mucho. Mis humanos siempre me dicen que es frustrante cuando me regalan un juguete nuevo y simplemente lo ignoro.
A los gatos nos gusta jugar con juguetes en movimiento, así que la próxima vez que le regales a tu gato, trata de jugar con ellos. Si simplemente tiras el juguete al suelo y esperas que juguemos, puede ser un error.
Prueba a ver qué tipo de juguete le gusta más a tu gato, en mi caso y también en el de Sam, nos gustan los objetos voladores y las enredaderas.
A Misha le encantaban las pelotas, juega todo el día rodando la pelota por toda nuestra casa y no necesitaba mucha atención, pero después de un tiempo, pierde el interés y nuestros tutores necesitan ir a jugar con ella.
Siempre están tratando de crear nuevos juguetes y, a veces, se les ocurren grandes ideas.
Uno que me gusta mucho, es un cordón con un no en un extremo. Para estimular nuestro sentido depredador, puedes intentar imitar el comportamiento de los animales salvajes, como saltar, gatear o volar. Incluso mezclándolos todos.
Cuando el objeto está estático, perdemos interés, porque nos gusta cazar cosas en movimiento.
Otros juguetes que nos gustan son los que emiten sonidos, así que puedes dar preferencia a los que tienen un cascabel en su interior.

Además, nos encantan las plumas, estoy totalmente loco por ellas, y cuando puedo atraparlas es difícil dejarlas ir.
Otro día se les ocurre la idea de dibujar una forma de Gekko en un papel y pegarlo en la pared. Como a Sam le encanta cazar pequeños mosquitos que suelen entrar en casa, se mantiene en alerta total y salta más y más alto para atraparlos.
Fue muy divertido verlo y decidí jugar con él. Cuando pudo soltar el papel, entro en el juego para ayudar a acabar con ese falso Gekko.
El lado bueno de jugar con tus gatos es que nos hace movernos, lo que ayuda a nuestra salud y reduce nuestro estrés, de lo contrario, podemos pasar la mayor parte del día tirados en la cama.
Uno que hace muy feliz a Sam es el puntero láser. Lo persigue por todos lados, corriendo saltando, y al final de la jugada, siempre es bueno tener algo que atrapar, como un snack. Ayuda al gato a mantener el interés, de lo contrario, como nunca puede atrapar ese molesto punto rojo, puede perder el interés.
