La verdad es que no le dábamos mucha atención, al menos yo, cuando era pequeña. Pero hoy se ha convertido en la única que tiene nuestra atención, como hace años no tenemos perros, su protagonismo fue mayor.

Digo esto en plural, porque hay dos tortugas más en casa, pero es imposible tenerlas juntas, Manuelita es territorial y les ha hecho daño en el pasado a las otras dos. Una de ellas es macho, por lo que entendemos que ella, criada sola, prefiere su vida en solitario.

Además las dos que llegaron, nunca supimos si mi hermano en su infancia las robó 🤣 la verdad es que a alguien se le habrá escapado una (vaya paradoja, en realidad son muy veloces cuando quieren serlo) y la trajo a casa pensando que era la nuestra que estaba por las calles. Luego un vecino golpeó la puerta y nos avisó que, con el patio abierto debería haber escapado, y al entrar nos dimos cuenta que no, que ahora teníamos 3. En fin, fueron todas bienvenidas y tienen la mejor vida que podríamos darles.

Es admirable cómo has cuidado de Manuelita a lo largo de todos estos años, especialmente después de la complicada operación que tuvo que pasar. Me alegro mucho de saber que la recuperación de Manuelita fue estable y que lograron curar esa lesión en su caparazón. Es increíble la resistencia y capacidad de sanación que tienen estos animales. Definitivamente son seres únicos y llenos de sorpresas. ❤️
