Hello dear pet loving community, it is a pleasure for me to make my first publication in this beautiful space, especially if it is to introduce you to my beautiful Canela.
When I was a child I was very afraid of animals, especially dogs, and although my mother insisted on adopting a puppy, I always refused to accept it.
Once my mom was given a Siberian wolf puppy. It was very beautiful, with blue eyes that were very impressive, but when it approached me and licked my feet, I started screaming to get it off me and crying I climbed on the bed. It was something stronger than me. I wanted with all my heart to hug that cute little dog, but when I saw him coming towards me I got nervous, screamed, cried and quickly climbed on my bed. At that time I was about 8 years old.
My mom was in love with that little dog, but the next morning she talked to her friend and told him what happened. Unfortunately she returned the beautiful canine. And so I spent my childhood among rabbits, chickens and geese. My mother's effort to make my phobia towards animals disappear was in vain, because I only admired the beauty of all the animals from afar and even named them, but I could not get close to them.
Years went by and when I was about 17 years old, a neighbor gave me a little Weimaraner puppy and I named him Zeus. He was so beautiful that I could take him and pet him, and although my mother was the one who took care of him, I always played with him. It seems that I overcame the phobia with time, although later I was left with a great trauma, because when he was 6 months old, someone very evil poisoned him without any mercy.
After that I didn't want to know more about pets, until May 2019 when my mom was told that there was a poodle puppy for adoption, she was 2 and a half months old. When they sent her the picture of the puppy my mom showed it to me and from that moment I felt that I loved that little thing so tiny.
The next day we went to pick her up at the veterinary clinic where she would be put up for adoption. I remember it was pouring rain, but nothing could stop that little thing from being part of my life.
When I took her in my arms I felt a great emotion and a great connection with that little animal. In that magical moment, all my fears were left behind by that genuine love that was coming into my life to stay.
When we got home she walked all over the place with a lot of confidence. We were very careful not to step on her when we walked because she was a miniature. She was very white with light brown ears, she also had a spot of the same color near her tail and for that reason we named her Canela. Today my beloved Canela is 3 years old and will be 4 years old on March 10th of next year.
Since Canela arrived, my life has turned around. She is the queen of my life and my home. I never thought you could love so much and feel loved by such a pure and innocent being as a dog. She sleeps with me, but she is so small that I put a step so she can get in and out of my bed for her comfort and health protection.
With Canela I have many anecdotes and stories of how she taught me to see life differently, which I will tell you little by little. I hope you liked my post about how the beautiful Canela came into my life.
