Hello my fellow pet owners and lovers! It's been a while..
I am going to keep this one short today 😉
So I had fish when I was MUCH younger than I am today. It started with a few neon tetras, then escalated to much more, which the names I cannot remember right now. Sorry... But eventually the maintenance got a bit much, the snails were like a plague and.. We were just idiots. We put a 100L tank on 2 very strong pedestals, but as gravity works, and our brains not, the tank eventually cracked and broke. That was the day we decided to give up on the fish-for-pets idea.
Neon Tetra fish
I have always had a fascination with Betta fish. They are gorgeous and mesmerizing. Watching them is like soup for the soul. It calms me and makes me forget my problems.
I got Fish about a year and a half ago, and he has survived a lot, and surprised me even more, by changing colours! 🤯 I never knew this happened to them, so the first time I saw it, I was so scared! My first thought was a fungus, but LUCKILY it was not. I did some research and found that it is a jumping marble gene.

Anyway, back to the point of my post. It was way overdue for the tank to be cleaned and I eventually got the energy to do it.
After the water has been poured out, and I rinsed the pebbles. After cleaning the decorations, filter and heater.
Unfortunately that is the only size glass that fits in the tank to take him out. He is a fiesty one, so I put something on top so he doesn't jump out.
New water is ready and doctored with necessary meds specifically for Bettas. I prefer Seachem products
Tank all clean with necessary equipment back in their place, ready for the water to be added
I am really ashamed of how bad it was. My poor fish. But after all this, I feel better and so does he.
Happy and still healthy. He has started changing colour for the 3rd time now, those are the pink spots you see.
He has given me so much joy and this may sound strange, but he has a personality of note and I love it so much!
As always, it's been a pleasure! Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it!

There's something so theraputing about watching fishiees ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely! Sometimes I would just lie on my bed and watch him like a weirdo.. 🤣
right? us humans are so flipping weird. Imagine what they must think when we clean their tanks?
I know! I always feel like he's watching me and just waiting for that moment to jump and slap me in the face or something 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
He is beautiful! 😁 I used to own two Betta fish (kept in separate tanks, of course!) they bring so much joy, definitely fish with loads of personality.
Yes they definitely have great personalities!
What a lovely looking fish I myself actually used to own three Siamese fighters. I always really love the vibrant colours they came in.
