Once we arrived it was time for the doctor's appointment, I must confess that during the trip Bacchus peed in his bag, I suspect he got a little more relief from his pain as he calmed down. Taking Bacchus out of the house is always a challenge because he is an introverted cat and is afraid of cars and strangers, maybe it was his ailment that made him a little calmer.
Once at the doctor's office Bacchus behaved well and the doctor was able to make his diagnosis, the conclusion he came to was that he had grit and it was blocking his urinary tract, it was a good idea to take him quickly because if he lasted too long without being able to urinate his situation would worsen and he would have to be hospitalized to probe his urinary tract to drain it, This is a painful and delicate process so they would have to anesthetize him, I must say that this worries me a lot because small animals do not usually resist anesthesia, the idea of him dying made me very sad because Bacchus has become very important in my life.

I am very grateful to the people who helped to solve this emergency, without them it would not have been possible and Baco would not have the good health that he has today, he returned to be the playful, loving and mischievous cat that he normally is, we are still waiting for the treatment to take effect and for the doctor to give his final conclusion, but I must say that the improvement until today is very noticeable.

Llego el día de llevarlo a la consulta medica, justo antes de salir demostraba que que sentía mucho dolor, maullando con fuerza para avisar su malestar; debo agradecer a @yaslenysofia por su ayuda, ya que para ese momento no contaba con un refugio portátil para llevarlo al medico, ella me presto un bolso, lo equipamos con sabanas para que se sintiera mas cómodo y lo llevamos en un taxi, debo agradecer a @smvo4 por ayudar con el traslado de Baco.
Una vez que llegamos se tomo el turno para la cita con el doctor, debo confesar que durante el viaje Baco se orino en el bolso, sospecho que tuvo un poco mas alivio a su dolor ya que se tranquilizo. Llevar a Baco fuera de la casa siempre suele ser un reto porque es un gato introvertido y le tiene miedo a los carros y a las personas desconocidas, tal vez fue su dolencia lo que le hizo estar un poco mas tranquilo.
Una vez en la consulta medica Baco, se comporto de buena manera y el doctor pudo hacer su diagnostico, a la conclusion que llego es que tenia arenilla y eso estaba bloqueando sus vías urinarias, fue una buena idea llevarlo rápido debido a que si duraba mucho tiempo sin poder orinar su situación empeoraría y lo tendrían que hospitalizar para sondear sus vías urinarias y así poder drenarlas, este es un proceso doloroso y delicado por lo que tendrían que anestesiarlo, debo decir que eso me preocupa mucho ya que los animales pequeños no suelen resistir la anestesia, la idea de que el muriera me entristeció mucho porque Baco ha llegado a ser importante en mi vida.
Por suerte con los medicamentos que el doctor suministro se logro una mejoría muy significativa en su salud y bienestar, afortunadamente sus vías urinarias ya no están obstruidas. El tratamiento es un asunto importante porque es lo que garantiza que su salud mejore y que las posibilidades de obstrucción urinaria sean menores.
Entre las recomendaciones que el doctor brindo están, que Baco no puede consumir huesos, carnes rojas y tampoco gatarinas (alimentos para gatos) con poca fibra ya que facilitaría la obstrucción de las vías urinarias. Estoy muy agradecida con las personas que ayudaron a solventar esta emergencia, sin ellos no hubiese sido posible y Baco posiblemente no contaría con la buena salud que tiene hoy, volvió a ser el gato juguetón, amoroso y travieso que es normalmente, aun estamos a la expectativa de que el tratamiento haga su efecto y que el doctor de su conclusion final, pero debo decir que ya la mejoría hasta hoy es muy notoria.
