Setting Up An Aquarium For A Betta And Snails!

Hey friends! I thought I would make a little video showing off the aquarium tank I've been setting up so that I can bring home a betta and some snail friends to join Yuan and I in the apartment. :) It's a ten gallon tank - best advice is you want at least 5 gallons for a betta, but 10 is even better, especially if you want to give them tank mates (don't put them in little bowls!). I'm thinking I am going to go with Nerite snails for their tank mates. I'm also loosely contemplating a small number of tetras, as a lot of people say they make good tank mates for bettas too, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Maybe in the future. :)

I forgot to show you when I was showing all my gear that yes, I do have a gravel vacuum for water changes and cleaning. I've done three water changes during this cycling time so far, mostly because of the sitnky smell that I think is mostly due to the Amazon Sword plant melting (rotting plant bits in water would be smelly). But I think it's done melting and so hopefully will recover.

Thanks for checking out my fish tank as I work to get it ready for them. It makes me happy. :)

Papgooi!🎣 We've reshared this gem. 👍

There are a few basic things you need to do to set up an aquarium for a betta and snails. First, you'll need to find a suitable aquarium. Second, you'll need to set up the aquarium with the proper equipment and substrate. And finally, you'll need to acclimate the betta and snails to their new home.

Thank you for sharing my friend.

Did you just google a Basic Betta Care Guide and paste it in a comment?
