Hi everyone! 😊
In Belgium, we're used to having snow in the second half of winter, like January or February, or not having snow at all.
But this year we have snow in November, even though it's not yet winter!
That's pretty good news, because walking in the snow with a dog is very fun and resourceful, but it's also a bit scary because you think you're in for a very hard winter 😱
But today we took advantage of the snow with Nala and it was beautiful. She was so happy, she really loves snow. I don't know if it changes smells, but she seems to be more excited about sniffing smells than usual. Maybe it's like a treasure hunt for her as she has to dig around to find the scents hidden under the snow :)
It must be great for her to rediscover landscapes that she knows but that seem to have changed completely. Paradoxically, I think the snow gives our surroundings a warmer, more intimate feel; people seem happier.
This is especially true when children (and dogs) get together to play snowball.
Perhaps the next step will be a walk in the woods?
This is certainly one of the coolest places to visit when it is snowing :)
We'll see what winter has in store for us in the coming weeks :)
If it gets down to -20, I'll have to think seriously about buying Nala a little coat, even though she's a big dog!
I see small dogs with coats every day in winter and it's true that they are not all the same. Anyway, Nala seems to be coping well with the cold at the moment :) Even though she hasn't quite got her winter coat on yet!
I hope you will like it, see you soon for more adventures! 😊
