About three weeks ago, a friend found a cute cat (being a few days old) alone and abandoned on the corner of a shopping center. It was impossible for her to take care of him and she asked me if I could help her so as not to leave him there helpless. I hesitated to accept but in the end I did and began to give him the new care that I had learned, because previous months I adopted a kitten that had also been abandoned being a few days old, and it died a week later; perhaps for not giving the correct care being so small.

Es una información que me encontré en las redes sociales y me dediqué a guardar por si en algún momento la necesitaba, y ya ven que sí.
Therefore, I decided to share with you this publication that perhaps at some point it can be of help to you or to someone close to you; I modified it, adapting and making some things clearer ACCORDING TO MY EXPERIENCE. It is information that I found on social networks and I dedicated myself to save in case at any time I needed it, and you see that I do.
De las vivencias pasadas aprendí que lo primero que debemos saber es con lo que NO SE DEBE ALIMENTAR a un gato que tiene menos de cuatro semanas de vida:
Leche entera ni descremada X
Fórmula de bebé humano X
Agua de arroz ni de avena X
Chicha, ni comida sólida X
From past experiences I learned that the first thing we need to know is what SHOULD NOT BE FEED to a cat that is less than four weeks old:
Whole milk, not skim
Human baby milk
Rice or oat water
No solid food
Tiger, es el nombre del pequeño gato que se rescató y aunque a ciencia cierta no sabía exactamente cuánto tiempo de nacido tenía al encontrarlo, a juzgar por su apariencia parecía tener menos de tres semanas de nacido. Por lo cual, procedí a alimentarlo con una fórmula única que no puede ser suplantada por otra, debido a que es la que le aporta las proteínas y grasas necesarias para su buen desarrollo y supervivencia. Los ingredientes que utilicé fueron siguientes:
1 taza de leche deslactosada
1 yema de huevo
1 cucharada de Miel
1 cucharada de mantequilla

Therefore, I proceeded to feed him with a unique formula that cannot be supplanted by another, because it is the one that provides him with the proteins and fats necessary for his proper development and survival. The ingredients I used were following:
1 cup of lactose-free milk
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon butter
Para la preparación tan solo coloqué en un olla a llama media la leche, luego agregué la yema de huevo y la miel mientras batía consecutivamente hasta que hirviera un poco para proceder a apagar y por último agregaba la mantequilla derretida.
NOTA: Es fundamental tener presente que los felinos a ese nivel no procesan la lactosa del mismo modo que el ser humano, por ende, les puede ocasionar una indigestión o cólicos que terminen causándole la muerte.
La cantidad y frecuencia para alimentarlos dependerá del tiempo de vida del gatito. En el caso de tiger, tuvo dos semanas comiendo cada 5/6 horas una cantidad aproximada de 15cc por vez. Sin embargó, para cada gato será distinto, a medida que pasa el tiempo, irá aumentando la cantidad y el llorará las veces cuando tenga hambre.
For the preparation, I just placed the milk in a pot over medium heat, then I added the egg yolk and honey while beating consecutively until it boiled a little to proceed to extinguish and finally added the melted butter.
NOTE: It is essential to keep in mind that felines at this level do not process lactose in the same way as humans, therefore, it can cause indigestion or colic that ends up causing death.
The amount and frequency to feed them will depend on the life span of the kitten. In the case of tiger, he had two weeks eating an approximate amount of 15cc at a time every 5/6 hours. However, for each cat it will be different, as time passes, the amount will increase and he will cry when it is hungry.
Otra cosa fundamental que hice fue proporcionarle una fuente de calor, debido a que los gatitos a ese tiempo de nacidos no regulan su temperatura sino hasta cumplir aproximadamente el mes, por lo cual pueden morir muy rápido de hipotermia. Yo no tenía una almohada térmica así que tuve que usar lo que tenía al alcance.
Another fundamental thing I did was provide a source of heat, because kittens at that time of birth do not regulate their temperature until approximately one month old, so they can die very quickly from hypothermia. I did not have a heating pillow so I had to use what was available.
En una botella agregué agua caliente y con cuidado me aseguré que no se derrame observando por varios segundos. De inmediato, la puse al lado del gatito cubierta con una manta para que no le queme. Intenté cambiarle la botella cada vez que esta se enfriaba. Cabe destacar, que él estaba en un cuarto bien cerrado lejos de corrientes de aire frías, las cuales se deben evitar en absoluto.
In a bottle I added hot water and carefully made sure it did not spill by observing for several seconds. Immediately, I put it next to the kitten covered with a blanket so that it does not burn him. Tried changing the bottle every time it got cold. Notably, he was in a tightly closed room away from cold drafts, which should be avoided at all.
- Vacío de vejiga - Defecación: normalmente es su mamá la que los ayuda con este proceso, pero como sabemos las circunstancias pues en muchas ocasiones esperando unos 15 minutos luego de comer, lo tenía que estimular por sus intestinos y su ano para que luego se le hiciera más fácil la defecación (se debe usar guantes). Es importante vigilar que el gatito orine y defeque cada día porque si no, pueden morir intoxicados.
- Bladder emptying - Defecation: normally it is their mother who helps them with this process, but as we know the circumstances because on many occasions waiting about 15 minutes after eating, I had to stimulate it through him intestines and him anus so that later defecation would be made easier (gloves should be used). It is important to watch that the kitten urinates and defecates every day because if not, they can die from poisoning.
- La manera de alimentarlos: se debe alimentar siempre estando el gato de forma horizontal, nunca vertical ni guindando de la jeringa, debido a que se corre el peligro de que la formula se dirija hacia sus pulmones y este se ahogue. Debía alimentar a Tiger despacio, aunque el a veces se desesperaba; hay que tener mucha paciencia la verdad, para que el gatito vaya chupando poco a poco. Esto lo hacía con la parte plástica de una inyectadora de 3 o 5 CC.
- The way to feed them: It should always be fed while the cat is horizontal, never vertical or hanging from the syringe, because there is a risk that the formula will go to its lungs and it will suffocate. I had to feed Tiger slowly, although he sometimes despaired; You really have to be very patient, so that the kitten sucks little by little. This was done with the plastic part of a 3 or 5 CC injector.
No bañar al gato bebé aunque se encuentre sucio, lo mas que se puede hacer es pasarle un paño humedecido en agua tibia.
No calentar su alimento es microondas, esto lo hice solo unos 5 segudos en una olla apartando la cantidad que se comía por tanda, o dejarlo a temperatura ambiente hasta que saliera el frío.
Enseñarle a socializar, parar que así luego no tenga miedo y pueda estar tranquilamente con otras personas y animales.
- Do not bathe the baby cat even if it is dirty, the most that can be done is to wipe it with a cloth soaked in warm water.
- Do not heat its food in a microwave, this should have been done only about 5 seconds in a pot, setting aside the amount that was eaten per batch, or leaving it at room temperature until the cold came out.
- Teach him to socialize, to stop so that later he is not afraid and can be calmly with other people and animals.
Para finalizar, es esencial que les comente que yo desde un principio tenía presente que no era la mamá biológica del gatito; corría el riesgo de hacerlo todo bien y aún así con los días este muriera. En el sentido de que ellos siendo tan frágiles tienen un porcentaje de sobrevivir de un 60% apartados de su madre. PARA MI FORTURA, TIGER A LA FECHA YA DEBIÓ HABER CUMPLIDO UN MES DE NACIDO y sí, sigue con vida. Es juguetón y comelón; todavía se me hace difícil tomarle buenas fotos porque es muy inquieto.
Finally, it is essential that I tell you that from the beginning I was aware that I was not the kitten's biological mother; I ran the risk of doing everything right and even so with the days this one died. In the sense that they being so fragile have a survival rate of 60% apart from their mother. FOR MY STRENGTH, TIGER TO DATE SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN ONE MONTH OLD and he is still alive. It is playful and eater; I still find it difficult to take good photos of him because he is very restless.
