Everyone, meet Togo! A half poodle half shih tzu dog. I had him for a year now, it was February 14,2024 when my boyfriend gifted him to me. He got me a dog because he know how I love to have a pet dog.
This is him when we first meet, we got him from my father's friend and when I was there in Togo's first home I knew I needed to get him. His situation in there wasn't bad but also wasn't good. See, the owner just put the female and male adult dog together with the puppies and it's not just five or 10 in that one room, they were so many and they are living in a poor condition because they don't isolate the puppies. Though the owners took good care of them in terms of feeding, bathing, and taking care of them it's still not good for me because of how many dogs they had that they can't focus on the health of the dogs or control it from inbreeding which could lead to the puppies health complications.
This is when I first bought him home. He won't came near me that time, like he's so angry. As you can see in the picture. He's cute though.
This is his first meet with my sister. He was so calm by this time and slowly accepting our scents because he started to roam around the house.
And this is us, getting comfortable with each other.
The very first time I caught him sleeping like this, so cute!
And here's a picture of him, trying out the very first collar i bought for him. He's so handsome and cute.
By May 2024, Togo had started his deworming, injections to keep him healthy and after many months he then received his anti rabies vaccine. He completed all those injections without a single voice coming from him. He was so brave and so friendly that he would jump out of my grasp just to smell or go near other dog with his happy wiggly tail.
Togo is not just my pet, he's been my savior from all the anxiety I've encounter, he's playfulness make me forget the stress I was feeling in a moment. He's become a part of my family, he's like my younger brother specially on how my mother and father spoils him. They would cook for him like his favorite meal which is boiled chicken.
I truly believe that the dogs are not our whole life, but they sure make our lives whole.
