This post is dedicated to all angles on this earth who know their responsibility and taking care of our Mother Earth. Loving animals is not so common on this earth, many people treat animals so bad or use them to make their work easier or eat them as their food. We evolved from an era where Hunting was the prime source of food to this civilized era where we know about agriculture and How to grow our own food without hurting any other animal species. Yet there are millions of human beings who still prefer to eat birds and animals rather than eating plants. We, humans, draw a line wherein we eat few animals and at the same point in time we keep some of them as a pet.
Having a pet is not like you are caring for them, it's totally the opposite. It's the pets who spend their whole life caring for you. From my childhood, I have a deep connection with dogs and sometimes I feel I can literally talk to them just like you. I was working on a government project in the woods of the Himalayas.
The day I was trekking to our new village site and when we reached on top of one mountain, the jungle was dense and that was a rainy season. I saw one female dog with a few of her puppies died over there. I was shocked to see this scene because this was totally a new incident for me, suddenly I saw a little moment in one of these puppies and I didn't think much and pick that puppy with me put her inside my jacket as it was the rainy and cold season.
I dropped my visit that day and went to my room. When I reached the room I started inspecting the puppy and I found so many little insects and ants crawling on her body, when I checked her stomach, there was a black mark and a kind of long ringworm crawling inside. I was really frightened and started praying.
I picked my comb and started combing her but it was tough as the insects were very tiny. I was confused as to what should I gave her as food, the only thing that came to my mind was Milk(the most nutritious food every mother gives to her child). For me, it was Cow's Milk The milk of Universal Mother.
The next morning I took her to the vet where the lady vet inspected her and told me that there are lots of worms eating her from inside and she gave me few medicines and asked to visit again within 7 days. I asked the vet about the black circle on mid of her stomach which was bulging out, she told me that the worms had already eaten her tissues and made that scar. I was frightened and asked the vet if she would be alright after the medication. The vet told me to have patience and take care of her.
Time went by and she started healing and getting stronger and stronger every day. Now she is taking care of me, every day in the morning she will come and give me her good morning kisses. She gets angry when I have to leave home as she gets afraid of street dogs would attack me. She would sit at the door waiting for me without eating, even her favourite meat jerky. Gives me enthusiastic welcome hugs and kisses when I reach home.
Life really feels good when you know someone is there who loves you so much yet don't want anything materialistic from you except love.
This Story is not ended yet, this is just the beginning and I always pray to the almighty mother Goddess and say thanks to her that she gave me such an incredible gift of my life.
In the beginning, I was confused and didn't know how to check if she is male or female. I thought she is male and she is very notorious that's why I named her "Sinchan", Later on, I came to know by Vet that she is female and I was really happy that I got my baby girl but didn't changed her name because
“What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.”
