In this great opportunity, I will introduce the new kittens of Gata, one of my pets. Since I started Hive, I have introduced them to a part of my life that I adore: my cats. Little by little the furry family has been growing, some kitties to stay and others to have a short stay and go to fill other homes with their meows and tenderness, but all of them teaching me that love for a pet transcends boundaries.
En esta grandiosa oportunidad, presentaré a los nuevos gaticos de Gata, una de mis mascotas. Desde que empecé en Hive, los he adentrado en un espacio de mi vida que adoró: mis gatos. Poco a poco la familia peluda ha ido creciendo, algunos gaticos para quedarse y otros para tener una corta estadía e irse a llenar otras casas con sus maullidos y ternura, pero todos ensenándome que el amor por una mascota trasciende los límites.
As I mentioned in the last post, I shared a Gata birth that I had never told anyone about, her third. However, I promised to tell you about Gata's new delivery, her sixth.
Como mencioné en el último post, compartí un parto de Gata que jamás había comentado a nadie, el tercero. Sin embargo, prometí contarles sobre el nuevo parto de Gata, el sexto.
In October, I found myself seeing Gata with pregnancy symptoms: grumpy, sleeping all day, gaining weight and with her breasts ready to nurse kittens.
En octubre, me encontraba viendo a Gata con síntomas de embarazo: malhumor, durmiendo todo el día, aumentando de peso y con las mamas lista para lactar a gaticos.
The days went by, until it became two months that Gata was pregnant, the stipulated or what I really thought a cat would have for gestation time. It seemed strange to all of us at home, because she had not brought any kittens, and there was no sign of a possible delivery. From one day to the next, which you will find funny, Gata looked without a belly, skinny and with breasts as if they were being sucked, that is to say, as if the kittens had already been born. The most important thing is that we had no idea where the famous kittens could be. I thought: Where are the kittens? What do they look like? Day by day, I imagined that and much more.
Los días pasaban, hasta que se convirtieron en dos meses que Gata estaba embarazada, lo estipulado o lo que realmente pensaba que tendría una gata por tiempo de gestación. A todos en casa nos parecía extraño, porque ella no había traído a ningún gatico, ni rastro había de un posible parto. De un día a otro, lo cual les parecerá gracioso, Gata se veía sin barriga, flaca y con las mamas como si se las estuviesen succionando, es decir, como si los gaticos ya habían nacido. Lo más cumbre, es que no teníamos ni idea de donde podrían estar los famosos gaticos. Pensaba: ¿Dónde estarán los gaticos? ¿Cómo serán? Día a día, me imaginaba eso y mucho más.
One day I was at home, sitting at the dining room table, when unexpectedly my mom came and told me: Valen, didn't you see the kittens on the stairs? Honestly, I could not believe it, I thought it was a lie, that she was teasing me and telling me that as a joke for the day of the innocents, but the truth is that it was not.
Un día estaba en casa, sentada en la mesa del comedor, cuando inesperadamente vino mi mamá y me comentó: Valen, ¿No viste los gaticos que están en la escalera? Sinceramente, no lo podía creer, pensé que era una mentira, que estaba molestándome y diciéndome eso como broma por el día de los inocentes, pero la verdad es que no.
First, I stopped everything I was doing and ran out to find out the truth. It wasn't a lie from mom, Gata was being a good mother, she hadn't eaten her kittens, they did exist, there were three of them. My eyes visualized one of them far away.
Primero, dejé todo lo que estaba haciendo y salí corriendo a descubrir la verdad. No era una mentira de mamá, Gata estaba siendo buena madre, no se había comido a sus gaticos, ellos si existían, eran tres. Mis ojos visualizaron a uno de ellos lejano.
At first they could not approach me, they were afraid of me, of course... I had always been a stranger to them.I decided to look for the camera, a sardine and try to make Gata meow to attract them and to be able to see them in my hands, although I knew well that cats should not be manipulated because it is said that otherwise their mother will abandon them, when she perceives through their licking that someone touched them.
Al principio no se me podían acercar, me tenían miedo, claro… siempre había sido una desconocida para ellos. Decidí buscar la cámara, una sardina e intentar que la Gata maullara para atraerlos y poder verlos entre mis manos, aunque bien sabía que los gatos no deben ser manipulados porque se dice qué sino su mamá los abandonará, al percibir a través de su lamida que alguien los tocó.
Having the camera in my hands, I started shooting to capture many photographs, but they with the flash were moving even further away.
Al tener la cámara en mis manos, empecé a disparar para capturar muchas fotografías, pero ellos con el flash se alejaban aún más.
They were jumping here and there under the stairs, hiding from me.
Saltaban por aquí y por allá debajo de las escaleras, se escondían de mí.
Until finally, I managed after a few hours and many photographic attempts, that one of the kittens approached me and I was smitten with love.
Hasta que por fin, logré después de unas horas y muchos intentos fotográficos, que uno de los gaticos se acercara a mí y quedé flechada de amor.
But just as it approached me, it quickly moved away.
Pero así como se acercó a mí, rápidamente se alejó.
So as to go back to her two little brothers and snuggle.

Meanwhile my other two feline loves: Gata and Pelussa, were keeping an eye out, because they knew they would get some food that day.
Mientras tanto mis otros dos amores felinos: Gata y Pelussa, estaban pendientes, porque sabían que ese día les darían algo de comida.
I went to the kitchen to prepare milk for Gata and Pelussa, and if the kitties came over they would be welcome.

Pelussa was waiting for the milk to be served, he looked desperate to eat and drink.

Gata had no desperation to eat, she watched the kittens from afar and Pelussa desperate for milk.

I served the milk to Pelussa and Gata, they looked like good friends in the photographs.

Serving milk to Pelussa was a good way to take a photograph of a wound that has been there for a while, it has not healed completely, because he has a rival, a white cat that is bothering him in the afternoons and nights, plus he comes looking for him. He usually spends all day sleeping and little goes outside, but the cat has come to where he sleeps and bothers him, fights, steals his hair and hurts him.

Pelussa was left drinking her milk alone, because Gata started meowing and the kittens came to her, so that was my best moment, because I finally got to photograph them and see them up close.
Pelussa quedó tomándose la leche solo, porque Gata empezó a maullar y vinieron los gaticos a ella, así que ese era mi mejor momento, porque finalmente pude fotografiarlos y verlos de cerca.
Although I noticed that the kittens were uncomfortable because I was there, next to them.
Aunque noté que los gaticos estaban incomodos porque estaba ahí, al lado de ellos.
They were mother-feeding, happy.
Ellos estaban alimentándose de madre, felices.
The kittens were more asleep than awake, they were sleepily walking around.

I must admit that the kittens had soft fur full of tenderness.

The kittens were calmer as soon as I started talking to them, greeting them and welcoming them into the family.

Although they were still hiding. It should be noted that these kitties do like to meow.

After Gata left, I took one of the kittens to photograph them individually.
Después que Gata se fue, tomé a uno de los gaticos para fotografiarlos de manera individual.
In total there are three kittens, two of them look alike, being: white with black. One of them has two black spots on the head, between the ears, which, according to my paternal grandmother, look like two horns. And the other one, is white with two little black spots on his head, but these are more scattered, that is, they are farther apart.
En total son tres gaticos, dos de ellos se parecen, por ser: blancos con negros. Uno de ellos tiene dos manchas negras en la cabeza, entre las orejitas, que, según mi abuela paterna, parecen dos cachos. Y el otro, es blanco con dos manchitas negras en su cabeza, pero estas son más dispersas, es decir, están más alejadas.
The last kitten is different from his siblings. He has the fur, pearl color, it is strange, it has been a long time since we had kittens like this, at the same time he looks grayish.
El último gatico, es distinto a sus hermanos. Tiene el pelaje, color perla, es extraño, hacía mucho tiempo que no teníamos gaticos así, a la vez tiene aspecto grisáceo.
In this photograph, you can notice the beautiful shade of blue that my kittens have in their eyes. It is a color that gives pleasure to appreciate, it provokes to get lost in them, it is relaxing and in them I find reasons to inspire me every day.
En esta fotografía, pueden notar el hermoso tono azul que tienen mis gaticos en sus ojos. Es un color que da gusto apreciar, provoca perderse en ellos, es relajante y en ellos encuentro motivos para inspirarme cada día.
To culminate a successful photo session, I share with you one of my favorite photographs. All the kittens next to their mother, a memory for life.
Para culminar una sesión fotográfica exitosa, les comparto una de mis fotos preferidas. Todos los gaticos junto a su madre, un recuerdo para toda la vida.
I give immense Thanks for having three kittens full of light in my life, in one of the most sour moments, to turn it into peace and tranquility. If it is possible, I would love to keep one of them, and the others to donate them to some family that wants them forever.
Doy inmensas Gracias por tener a tres gaticos llenos de luz en mi vida, en uno de los momentos más agrios, para convertirlo en paz y tranquilidad. Si se puede, me encantaría quedarme con uno de ellos, y los demás donarlos a alguna familia que los quiera para siempre.
