One problem follows another. This year has become very difficult in terms of my dogs' health. There is no mysticism or someone's fault here. The truth is that my dogs are getting old. There are a lot of them, sixteen, and I don't think it's strange that I have to visit the vet clinic several times a month...
But Chocolate's disease was a real blow and surprise for me. She is younger than many of my dogs, she is about six years old. And so I noticed that she doesn't eat well, we lose weight, became sluggish and weak. Of course, I immediately took her to the vet!
And now I'll tell you something that's really strange. It's the end of November, it's freezing and snowing here. Frost and snow! And now the diagnosis is babesiosis! Can you imagine it? Where? Where could she find a tick practically in winter?!
Of course, we started treatment right away. I gave her injections and pills. And of course, I bought a special food for her to support the liver. But the main medicine was our old cat Katya. She spent whole days next to the sick Chocolate, warmed her up and sang her songs to her.
Now Chocolate feels much better and I hope that soon she will become a cheerful and active dog again.
