Given all the recent events in my life, it's surprising that today went relatively smoothly. No new animals fell on me, and the condition and behavior of those that already exist was quite acceptable.
In the morning I called the clinic to inquire about the condition of the puppy I found yesterday. Unfortunately, the baby is very, very weak. In addition, another problem was added - maggots. I said that when I found him yesterday he was also full of flies. The consequences of this are always the same... Fortunately, if you know this, maggots can be easily removed. Of course, this is not a very pleasant procedure, but otherwise they will simply eat him alive. For now, the puppy will remain under the supervision of a veterinarian.
As for Romashka, I started giving her medication to keep her heart going. This is important for her to tolerate anesthesia normally.
I believe that everything will be fine. Romashka is a real fighter. Therefore, I pulled myself together and continued to repair in her room. I hope she lives in it for a long time.
I finally finished plastering the walls and left them to dry. The next step is painting the walls and ceiling. Then I plan to put tiles on the floor, there will be a rug on top so that Romashka does not catch a cold.
In the evening, as always, I went for a walk with her. The only change in our walks is that now I don't take my bike with me. I understand that it will be difficult for her to catch up with me. So we just walk slowly along the street. Romashka "reads" other dogs' messages by sniffing the bushes and fences while I take some photos.
I looked at her and thought that if I didn't know she had cancer, I wouldn't have guessed. She looks normal except for the swelling on her abdomen. Dogs are amazing creatures. They try to bring us joy until the very end, as long as their strength is enough. If the dog lies and does not react to his beloved owner, this most often indicates that things are very, very bad ... In all other cases, they are ready to accompany us, play with us, be with us no matter what.
Romashka is no longer young. At her age, all processes develop slowly. This gives me hope that she will be with me for quite some time.
