Today I come to introduce you to our cute pets... some cute morrocoyitas (morrocoy turtles) named Elsa and Sofia (names given by my daughter).
La primera que llego a nuestras vidas fue Elsa, se la regalo mi comadre a mi hija. El interés por el tener un morrocoy surgió en diciembre cuando recién regresábamos al país y en la carretera y vimos a un señor vendiendo una. Desde ese momento mi hija quedo enamorada y quería que se la comprara pero como veníamos de viaje y no traíamos las condiciones para traerla y le prometí que luego buscaríamos una y así fue.
The first one that came into our lives was Elsa, my mother gave her to my daughter. The interest in having a morrocoy arose in December when we were just returning to the country and on the road and we saw a man selling one. From that moment on my daughter fell in love and wanted me to buy it for her, but since we were traveling and we didn't have the conditions to bring it, I promised her that we would look for one later and that's how it was.
En enero conseguimos a Elsa. Para mi hija fue una emoción total y para mi también ya que de niña tuve una (llamada pimpinela) y me traía bonitos recuerdos. Luego a mediados de febrero llego Sofia, también nos la regalaron al ver como queríamos y cuidábamos a Elsita.
In January we got Elsa. For my daughter it was a total emotion and for me too since I had one when I was a child (called Pimpernel) and it brought back beautiful memories. Then in mid-February Sofia arrived, she was also given to us when we saw how we loved and cared for Elsita.

En la sala les acondicionamos un pequeño espacio con tierra para que tengan un poco de su hábitat natural, ya que todo el piso en la casa es de cerámica o cemento. Pero igual ellas están sueltas y caminan por toda la casa, aunque ese es uno de sus lugares favoritos.

Son las consentidas de la casa, de cariño les decimos las niñas. Son unas mascotas tranquilas que con su ternura se han ganado nuestro cariño, mi hija ruega que pase el tiempo porque ansia verlas crecer.
