After more than five years, my mother has agreed to have a pet again. My aunt's dog had given birth to a litter and when I saw my mother looking at the puppies, I encouraged her to take one. It's true that the situation may be difficult materially to have a pet, but I also know that this type of company is always good.
She just received them at home yesterday, they are two females although my mother will only keep one. We will take the other one for adoption to some relatives who live in a town 20km from the city of Santiago de Cuba.
We named them Lila (the one with the mottled fur) who is my mother's and Tigresa (she has striped fur). They are still small and have a lot to learn, but yesterday they almost didn't let us sleep because they spent a good part of the night crying, perhaps because it was the first night away from their mother. It's going to be a couple of hard days until and after we take Tigresa to her permanent home because the mess, the feeding and the crying when they are alone is double.
Meanwhile, I've already been looking for contacts for veterinarians so that when she grows up and gets a little stronger, I can take her to be dewormed. Also, it's always good to have that information in case of any emergency and because in the future we plan to tie her to avoid the risk of her getting pregnant every time she goes into heat. I've seen some dogs have more than three births and that's really unnecessary.
During the time they've been here, I've tried to take more photos of them, but they're very restless and always come out agitated. Another thing is that we've had to serve them food separately because they fight each other. Now they're a little more even, but since Tigresa developed faster than Lila, I tended not to let her eat.
Later I'll be sharing more about Lila. 🙌❤️

When they are puppies they tend to be very naughty, but little by little you adapt to them and they adapt to you, having pets is a great responsibility but it also gives us a lot of happiness, by the way they are very cute 😊
Yes, they are nasty but for the reason you expose we don't give so much importance now to where and when they pee and poop. When they start to grow up we will create the habit of go outside for their necesities. Thanks for your comment 🫂❤️.
