Hola hola queridos amigos de esta bonita comunidad, les presento a Bombón y Burbuja, ellas son dos tortuguitas morrocoyes que me obsequió una amiga hace casi un año, aunque tienen casi el mismo tamaño que tenían en ese momento.
Hello hello dear friends of this beautiful community, I present to you Bombón and Burbuja, they are two little morrocoy turtles that a friend gave me almost a year ago, although they are almost the same size they were at that time.
Son criaturas muy curiosas y perezosas, a mis hijas y a mí nos gusta mucho mirarlas mientras caminan y se entretienen con cualquier hojita o ramita que esté cerca de ellas.
They are very curious and lazy creatures, my daughters and I like to watch them while they walk and they entertain themselves with any leaf or twig that is near them.
Desde hace tiempo me gusta adoptar tortuguitas pero por diferentes razones se me han perdido, una vez adopté a una pareja de morrocoyes ya grandes, pero luego de 4 años cavaron un agujero en el lugar donde estaba la cerca y escaparon.
For a long time I like to adopt little turtles but for different reasons I have lost them, once I adopted a couple of morrocoys already big, but after 4 years they dug a hole in the place where the fence was and escaped.
Por suerte Bombón y Burbuja aún no piensan en escapar, son muy tranquilas aunque Bombón es algo traviesa a veces y cuando llega la hora de bañarlas intenta escaparse.
Luckily Bombón and Burbuja still don't think about escaping, they are very calm although Bombón is a bit naughty sometimes and when it's time to bathe them she tries to escape.
Mis hijas decidieron colocarles esos nombres debido a que son fanáticas de las Chicas Superpoderosas, así que cuando les dí la oportunidad de colocarles nombre no perdieron su tiempo buscándolos.
My daughters decided to give them those names because they are fans of the Powerpuff Girls, so when I gave them the opportunity to name them they didn't waste their time looking for them.
La lechuga es la comida favorita de ambas, aunque las veces que no hay lechuga también comen flores de cayena, cambures, entre otras frutas.
Lettuce is their favorite food, although when there is no lettuce they also eat cayenne flowers, camburs, among other fruits.
A pesar de que ellas se divierten por voluntad propia, me divierto mucho al verlas mientras comen ya que parecen competir por quién terminará de primera, y cuando duermen se colocan una frente a la otra juntando sus caritas.
Although they have fun of their own free will, I have a lot of fun watching them while they eat as they seem to compete for who will finish first, and when they sleep they place one in front of the other, putting their little faces together.
Son criaturas muy tiernas aunque ellas prefieren no tener mucho contacto con las personas, y en lugar de eso, deciden dormir y toda la noche y una gran parte del día.
They are very cuddly creatures although they prefer not to have much contact with people, and instead, they decide to sleep all night and most of the day.
Adoptar tortugas es una buena opción si eres amante de las mascotas pequeñas, ya que su proceso de crecimiento es muy lento y así tendrás tu mascota pequeña por mucho tiempo.
Adopting turtles is a good option if you are a lover of small pets, since their growth process is very slow and you will have your small pet for a long time.
No puedo decir que han hecho un cambio drástico en mi vida ya que estoy acostumbrada a tener morrocoyes, pero srequieren atención y cuidados porque a diferencia de otros animalitos, las tortugas no emiten ningún gesto para pedirte comida así que hay que estar atentos de no olvidarse de alimentarlas, además de bañarlas y limpiar los lugares donde hacen sus necesidades.
I can't say that they have made a drastic change in my life since I am used to having morrocoys, but they require attention and care because unlike other animals, turtles don't make any gestures to ask you for food so you have to be careful not to forget to feed them, bathe them and clean the places where they do their needs.
